Hudson's POV

*What do you want, you freak?* I text her back. She has something bad in her mind I just know it.

*Honey, you'd better be nice to me. You are still dating that dumb Turkish girl or what?* Monika texts me.

*Actually since you mention it, we aren't dating anymore. We're getting engaged tomorrow. So what are you going to do now, you freak ass?* I counter. I have to grin a little.

*Wow, so fast? Well I guess, someone has to do something about it and I already know someone... Oh, yeah it's me! Lol.* She replies. My grin immediately fades.

*You won't dare to!* I threaten her. I have to admit she's frightening me. Not that she'll do anything to me but to Ashley, she would.

*You know I would.* She pushes me right into my thoughts of anger and fear.

*If you ever come near Ashley, you will regret it!* I threaten her again. This girl should be in jail.

*Don't make me do it, sweetie and I'm good.* She replies but I leave it on read.

I couldn't sleep all night, thinking of what Monika could do to Ashley. But anytime something comes into my mind I remind myself that she's safe. Ashley has Samir, Amar, Kerem and of course me around. Monika can't do anything to her. Or so I hope.

The next day begins stressfully for the Yilmaz family. They all started to decorate their house and prepare snacks for tonight. Actually, they call them snacks but to me it's like a whole meal. Kerem told me about the culture and what is normally done for the future son in law and his family. My family and I have to come to visit Ashley's family and then my dad has to ask for permission for me to date Ashley or something like that, I don't really get this.

The time flies and I'm now in Kerem's room. His parents luckily aren't in town and we could get ready here. I have no idea what to wear right now but I try to decide between my white shirt with black buttons or my black shirt with white buttons. I also have a polo shirt in blue. Ashley likes this one. She told me it brings out the blue color in my eyes. I think I'll wear this one. Ashley's family knows that I don't have an elegant suit with me, so they'll hopefully appreciate my outfit for once.

When I'm done dressing up, I style my hair and put on some aftershave. Kerem gave me a men's aftershave of his that smells actually not that bad. Seconds after getting ready, someone knocks on the door.

"It's open!" I yell. And Kerem's little sister Defne opens the door but doesn't enter.

"Hi Hudson, I hope I'm not disturbing you." She says with her cute voice.

"Hello, Defne! No, of course not. Come in." I smile at her. She happily enters the room and sits right on Kerem's bed.

"How do I look?" I say and make a pose.

"You look great! This shirt brings out your eyes." She smiles and says the same thing as Ashley once did.

"Oh, really? Thank you very much, little princess." I thank her. She immediately flushes.

"Hudson, can I ask you something?" She says and giggles nervously. Defne things everybody is annoyed with her questions, but I think it's cute and amusing. She has crazy thoughts.

"I'd love to answer your questions, princess Defne." I playfully say and she giggles again.

"Have you always been completely honest to Ashley?" Defne asks. When she asks me that, my smile fades. No, I haven't. I didn't tell her that I was unsure about this whole engagement thing or about Monika threatening me that she would do something to Ashley.

"Some things should better not be told to a person that means everything to you. It can hurt their feelings." I say to her.

"Ashley means everything to you?" She asks curiously with an 'awe'-look.

"Of course. I love her." I say and smile at the thought of Ashley's flush when I tell her I love her.

"You are unbelievable. I would love to be at the engagement tonight." Her curious smile fades at the thought that she's not part of it.

"Why don't you join us?" I ask and sit right next to her on the bed.

"I'm not invited and Kerem probably would be ashamed to bring me to the engagement uninvited." Defne says sadly.

"You are invited. Because you are my support. I won't leave you here alone, little princess." I say to her and she looks up at me.

"No way, I can't accept this." She shakes her head.

"Yes, you will. I want you there." I say and her smile is growing.

"Thank you!" She says and hugs me tightly. I join her hug and chuckle.

"Go and get ready. And hurry!" I say and she jumps right out of the room after letting go of my neck.

Hours later we sit in the living room at Ashley's house. I feel like I'm being watched by everybody in the room. Before my father asks for permission, we're having conversations with Osman and Amar. Ashley and Meredith are serving the snacks. They want to serve us a traditional Turkish tea.

When I see them coming with very small teacups I'm confused. So is my father and asks about it. They explain that they serve more than just one cup of the tea if we like it, that's in their culture. Meredith brings everyone else tea except me. At last Ashley comes to bring mine and I smile at her. She wears a blue dress even though we didn't arrange that and she looks gorgeous.

Before I taste the tea, Ashley and Meredith are watching me and try to hold back a giggle. I'm a little confused but ignore it. I listen to Osman talking about politics with my dad and at the same time, I want to take a sip of the tea.

Eww, it's so gross!! I want to spit it out but I can't!
