(Note: Now, if my calculations are correct, which I hope they’re at least close to, here’s how I see it: A little over one year has passed between stories 11 and 12, and between stories 12 to 16 about five to six months have passed. Between stories 16 and this current one, about five months have passed, so all in all, about two years have passed from this story and story 11. That means, if Malcolm was turning five within the next month after story 11, then he would be turning seven currently)

Five Months Later:

Somewhere in Terronto:

With ???:

It was late at night, a gentle downpour barely flooding the streets of Terronto, but was manageable to walk in with the right rain protection. He had on a black wool turtleneck, and a pair of greying blue jeans.

A tall, almost lanky Lake Monster was walking down the streets with nothing but an open black trench coat to cover up his body, although the rain didn’t seem to bother him at all.

With his hands in his coat pockets, the Lake Monster snarled lightly as he walked by some familiar faces that quickly turned and bolted down the opposite direction he was walking in.

He was a more greyish green in scale color, and his tail fins were all a darker greyish blue with several rips and tatters, but nothing too serious. His tail was about twice as long as his body, the thing barely lifted above the ground as he walked down the soaking streets, the fins at the very end about nearly a meter long, giving his tail that extra length.

His fin ears were large, the things opened up and not drooping, as though he were constantly on high alert. His snout was long and thin, and sticking out from the ends of his beak were long thin needle like fangs. His fin hair was long, the things being the same color as his tail fins if only a little greyer.

And his eyes, the sclera being a bright neon green whereas his iris was neon yellow, his pupil being needle thin as he scanned the streets for any more familiar faces in that part of the city.

The Lake Monster quickly made eye contact with a group of three denizens who immediately recognized him, one of them patting one of his friends on the shoulder in almost a panicked manner before ushering them to run off.

Huffing, the Lake Monster returned his attention back to the apartment building that he had been trying to get to ever since he escaped the police prison in New Strip City.

He would be lying if he said that he hadn’t expected to finally be caught by the Bounty Hunter Agency, the Bounty Hunter who caught him having snuck up on him while he had been out on his rounds. He had been brought in for questioning before sending him to the police prison where he had been locked up for over a year, maybe even a year and a half now?

He had no idea how much time had passed since he barely even payed attention to the passing time after getting caught, but what he did know was that he had been extremely lucky to have escaped when he did.

It had taken a little more time to plan than he originally thought he would need, but luckily, he managed to slip out while some other prisoners had decided to enact their own escape plan into action, so he didn’t even have to lift a finger to help in any way. It had been frustrating, having to have waited so long before he could slip out while all the guards were distracted by the loud unruly prisoners causing chaos instead of actually escaping like they had planned after setting off the bomb, but it was worth it in the end.

The Lake Monster’s scowl deepened as he blinked his eyes, having quickly zoned back into what he was doing.

Without even a word, the Lake Monster pushed through the doors and entered the nearly dilapidated lobby of the old brick building where he used to live.
