Rad's Jade Gem (Story 14 - Chapter 2)

With Rad: 

The Toxic Sludge was sitting on the other side of the measuring room, his sister and her apparently new ‘boyfriend’ getting the Human Deer’s measurements taken for a fitting so that he may get a new set of outfits custom made just for him. 

Rad sighed in annoyance and boredom for the tenth time since they had arrived at the far too ‘high end’ clothing shop. 

“And how much longer will this take?” demanded Rad, the Toxic Sludge glancing up at the clock only to see that thirty minutes had passed since they had arrived. 

Slendithera giggled as she walked around Luke, the Human Deer standing up on a stool with his arms outstretched as he got his measurements taken from an older Kitsune looking Fox denizen, his many tails swishing from side to side as he went back and forth between taking notes and remeasuring.

“Well, we’re about half way done getting Luke’s measurements. The next step after this would be to pick out the fabrics that he would like them made with before choosing the style type they will be made into” said Slendithera, the Porcelain Monster crossing her arms as she smiled lightly. 

Rad just rolled his eyes, scoffing lightly so as to not be heard by his sister. 

“You know we’re related to our own personal seamstress, and her name is MOM” stated Rad bluntly, the Toxic Sludge crossing his own arms as he slouched further into his seat. 

Slendithera frowned as she shrugged, the Porcelain Monster turning her attention to her brother. 

“We know, and I told Luke, but he insisted that he gets his outfits custom made from this spacific company” said Slendithera, the Porcelain Monster seeming unbothered by the fact that she wasn’t having their mom help with making Luke’s new outfits. 

Luke raised his hand slightly to point at the Porcelain Monster, a frown on his face. 

“And it is to be taken note of that we had, in fact, contacted your mother but she had politely declined our request. It appears as though her hands are tied with yet another one of those shows of fashion that they host in Hellis nearly every year. I do not understand why denizens need to show off simple articles of clothing in order to feel satisfaction in their abilities as clothing makers” stated Luke, causing Rad to roll his eyes and scoff loudly this time. 

“Seriously, how old fashioned do you have to sound? And when did you call her? I only just left Hellis the night before” explained Rad, the Toxic Sludge now looking pissed as he turned to glare at the two. 

Luke just simply rolled his eyes at Rad’s childish behavior while Slendithera clenched her fists angrily. 

“We called her seemingly after YOU left their place, considering mom SAID that you were on your way home. It’s not OUR fault you don’t carry a phone on you. Honestly, you're practically glued to your gaming console back at home and yet you don’t even carry a cellphone” said Slendithera, the Porcelain Monster deciding to state why they hadn’t told him sooner about Luke. 

Rad refrained from rolling his eyes again, but only because he’d been doing it nearly the entire time since they started speaking. 

Instead, Rad glanced away as he mumbled something under his breath, the Toxic Sludge too embarrassed to say it out loud.

“Sorry, we did not seem to quite get what you said. Could you care to speak up, just a tad?” asked Luke politely, the Human Deer frowning worriedly as he tilted his head to the side. 

Rad just snarled as he whirled around, the Toxic Sludge more pissed with himself than at his sister and her boyfriend. 

“It’s because our parents and Venno refuse to buy me a new phone…again…” snapped Rad angrily, the Toxic Sludge crossing his arms and diverting his glare away from the two.
