A few minutes later:

Somewhere in Terronto; not too far from the Angle Rapter Casino:

With Elvira:

The young Velociraptor Angler wasn’t paying attention to where she was running, her eyes filled to the brim with shedding tears as she tried finding the bakery that her parents had gone to to pick up her birthday cake.

As though feeling her hurt emotions, the sky had slowly turned from soft white clouds to slightly darker rain clouds, although she had heard her parents talking about how it was supposed to rain around this time of day so obviously she had chosen a bad time to run out looking for the Velociraptor and Anglerfish couple.

All she wanted right now was for them to wrap their arms around her in a reassuring hug and tell her everything is going to be alright.

To tell her that what Malcolm said to her shouldn't have gotten to her so badly like it had.

That the young Lake Monster didn’t mean to say what he said.

That she should give him another chance.

But she knew that deep down, she didn’t want to risk the tears, the hurt emotions of everything the young Lake Monster says to her despite him sounding awkward and nervous like Hell.

Yes he was a nervous wreck every time he opened his mouth around her, and each time something came out of that beak of his, it’s normally something that made her cry and run away to look for the comfort of her parents’ loving arms.

Maybe she was only overreacting, but she couldn’t help but feel hurt every time she tried to approach the young Lake Monster only to be told she wasn’t ‘pretty’ or that other boys 'wouldn't like her’, or something to that extent.

And with how red his face got, she always thought that he was always angry with her while he said those things, like he only wants to scare her away because he doesn't want to be her friend.

What other reason could there be that would cause someone’s face to get so red?

Her parents' faces only got faint pinks dusting their cheeks, and that’s usually because they’ve said or done something lovey dovey. She’s only seen other denizens’ faces getting so red like Malcolm’s when they’re extremely mad about something or screaming angrily at someone.

Whatever she had done that had made Malcolm hate her so much to make him angry at her whenever she tried approaching, she had no idea.

And she did not intend to find out because she will NEVER talk to the young Lake Monster again, lest she want to continue getting her emotions damaged by his hurtful words towards her.

Stopping for a brief moment with tears falling from her eyes, Elvira looked around desperately for the familiar bakery she had been taken to only days before to choose what cake she wanted baked for her birthday.

The young Velociraptor Angler wiped away her tears forcefully with her arms, her cheeks dusted a bright red from all the crying as her throat felt scratchy.

Seeing no sign of the bakery, the young Velociraptor Angler whirled around in hopes she had accidentally run right by it, but the quick motion of the sudden movement caused her to get dizzy for a brief moment, her balance wavering slightly.

After a moment to catch her balance once more, the young Velociraptor Angler glanced around more slowly, trying to find the bakery only to find that she recognized none of the buildings around her.
