Love and Bounty Hunting (Story 16 - Chapter 1)

(Just to take note, this story takes place about 2 months later, after the last story)

In the BHA:

With Dexx: 

The Anglerfish huffed as he managed to haul his latest bounty through the front doors of the BHA, the said Bounty having been knocked out during their fight, having decided it was the best option to try and get the Bounty Hunter off his back. 

As Dexx continued to drag the large Birch Tree Plant denizen through the lobby of the BHA, leaves now littering the floor along the way, several eyes turned to watch him. 

“Huh…just…bringing this -huff- guy in for…his -huff- interview…” huffed out Dexx, the Anglerfish sweating as he managed to drag the guy by his leg. 

The Birch Tree Plant denizen was maybe about the same size as Krabiss was, perhaps even taller, so having to drag him all the way from the other side of the city was a miracle in his eyes. 

The events of what had happened only hours prior are as follows. 

Dexx accepted the bounty, went out on his hunt, found said bounty, got into a fight with the bounty because the Plant denizen simply ‘refused’, Dexx had no choice but to knock him out, he then began regretting his mistake in knocking the guy out, nearly got run over several times while trying to cross the street, got stopped by two separate cop cars on patrols asking what he was doing, managed to convince both patrols he was with the BHA and showed them his ID before returning to dragging the guy across the city before finally making it back to the BHA. 

Luckily, this bounty was close to home, quite literally posted the day before, and Dexx has been feeling one of those moods since he felt that he and Venno had somewhat drifted apart in the last two months. 

Dexx huffed as he stood in front of the elevator doors, waiting for the thing to come down. 

Well, ok, he was being a little over dramatic about that, if he was being honest. 

He and Venno still loved each other very much, that was still the main thing and he was happy that they still had time to spend the rest of the afternoon together as a family before going to bed. 

But on the other hand, they barely had time for themselves. 

They haven’t been able to go out on any date nights because something would always pop up and get in the way of their plans. 

Dexx perked up when the elevator doors opened, allowing the Anglerfish to drag the Birch Tree Plant denizen inside, but not without the doors trying to close on the poor guy, his torso getting a little banged up by the doors. After a few minutes of struggling to get the guy to properly sit up, and to ensure his limbs were ALL inside the elevator, Dexx was finally able to press the button for the interview room floor. 

Taking a few deep breaths to try and catch it, Dexx finally let out a frustrated sigh as he crossed his arms and hung his head, his back falling against the elevator doors. 

And not to mention, every time he and Venno TRIED to get some alone time, just to two of them in their bedroom whole Jerry watched Elvira, SOMEONE would barge in with some crazy problem that would suddenly crop up right then and there WHILE they were trying to spend a nice romantic night with each other. 

Now, he COULD have called Venno to ask her if she could send him a ride to get the guy over faster, and he DID, but there had been no answer. He had tried a few times with Venno, then when he still got no answer, he tried Scott, Barry and Fiona before finally giving up and deciding to drag the guy over himself.
