The Porcelain Monster had just made a call to her sister, having been pacing outside of the interview room where the Human Deer was currently being held.
“I’m so glad to hear that you managed to capture him! And he didn’t try running away at all?” asked Venno, the Velociraptor sounding a little surprised by the fact that the bounty she had gone after once hadn’t tried escaping like he had with her.
Slendithera was able to catch Dexx’s voice from the other end, Venno most likely having put her on speaker so that he, too, could hear.
“If I remember, he managed to lead you on a chase throughout the museum, even destroying the skeletons of two prehistoric beasts and nearly getting you injured” recalled Dexx, the Anglerfish sounding as if he was trying to remember what had happened.
Venno seemed to scoff on the other end, the Velociraptor now sounding displeased.
“And if I recall correctly, myself, you stayed behind and proceeded to steal that diamond behind my back, despite your promise to me that you wouldn’t” muttered Venno sourly, the Velociraptor sounding genuinely pissed and not at all teasing about the incident, leading Slendithera to believe that she still held one to some sort of resentment on what happened back then.
“Listen Venno, I’m STILL sorry about what happened that day. I just….I couldn’t resist, alright? It was just a stupid fucking instinct to take it, and I should have NEVER done that to you!” muttered Dexx in a low tone, the Anglerfish sounding as though he was trying to keep his voice down so as to not be heard.
Venno was silent for a minute before she finally sighed.
“Could we please just…forget about it, please? We both agreed that we wouldn’t tell our daughter that you had once been a thief. You’re lucky we both stepped out of the room for this call, otherwise Elvira would surely start asking questions” muttered Venno, the Velociraptor sounding as though she was trying to recollect her thoughts.
“Anyway, sorry about that. This Luke Galashiels guy, he didn’t even try to run away or escape at all?” asked Venno, the Velociraptor quickly decided to get back to the matter at hand.
Slendithera shook her head, the Porcelain Monster grimacing when she suddenly recalled that her sister couldn’t see her.
“No, he didn’t. In fact, we had a bit of a duel, and then he surrendered when I managed to hold him at...at sword point, I guess it’s called?” explained Slendithera, the Porcelain Monster sounding a bit puzzled as she stopped pacing in front of the window to the interview room, her hollow eyes landing on the Human Deer who was currently glaring at her from his seated position, handcuffed to the table.
Slendithera jumped in fright at the glare that was directed towards her, causing her to quickly turn her back on the Human Deer.
“Listen Venno, I feel like he’s hiding something, and I want to find out what it is. He seems…I don’t know…like he’s a bit on edge, although upon first glance he seems like he’s easygoing, but I can tell there’s something he’s trying to hide” explained Slendithera poorly, the Porcelain Monster cringing at her lack of a proper explanation for as to why she felt the need to confront this guy.
Venno sighed, the Velociraptor sounding as though she was trying to make up her mind.
“Slendithera, I don’t know if you should. I mean…the guy has a bounty for a reason and-” started Venno, but Slendithera quickly interrupted, now frustrated and impatient as she let out an audible harsh sigh.
