Venno Rapter - The Hellish Series Returns - Series Two

The Spider/Shark Mafia: The Beginning of a New Alliance (Story 12 - Chapter 5)

With Venno:  

The Velociraptor just watched in shock as the elderly Great White Shark, the grandfather of the twin Great White Shark sisters, berated them for even coming up with an idea such as taking over an entire intersection and main street belonging to the Spider Mafia. 

Sasha was standing in front her grandfather, the elderly Great White Shark not quite yelling, but making it clear with his tone of voice that he WAS pissed about what they had done. 

Robynne, on the other hand, was still kneeling on the ground, the younger Great White Shark twin clutching her side in pain, the Velociraptor seeing the thin trails of blood seeping out from between her fingers as the group of Bull Sharks remained by her side to ensure she was alright. 

Taking a quick glance to see that Sasha and her grandfather were still talking, the older Great White Shark twin trying to explain themselves as she rocked her own daughter in her arms to ease her crying, seeing they were still distracted with thier conversation. 

Taking another quick glance in the direction of the bus, Venno was able to make eye contact with Dexx, her husband and daughter both watching from their hiding spot, along with several other denizens who had managed to take refuge inside the large vehicle. 

Venno wanted so badly to go over and tell them that it was alright to come out now, but she had a sudden feeling as though it was not safe yet.

With Dexx: 

The Anglerfish watched as his wife made eye contact with him, the Velociraptor raising her hand and signalling for them to remain where they were. 

“Are you sure?” muttered Dexx to himself, hugging his daughter reassuringly in his arms, the young Velociraptor Angler whimpering.

Venno managed to read his lips, the Velociraptor giving a firm nod as she unsummoned her scythe before turning around and making her way towards where the younger Great White Shark twin remained kneeling in pain from the graze of Venno’s blade.

“What does that mean? Is it safe?” asked the bus driver, the Baseball Cap Headed denizen glancing over at Dexx expectantly, wondering if he should open the doors to the bus and let everyone out yet. 

“Yeah, is it safe to leave or not?” asked a random denizen closer to the back of the bus, the Mannequin looking as though she was getting impatient with hiding. 

Dexx shook his head, the Anglerfish now feeling a new sense of fear as he crouched back down low enough to duck down in hiding if need be, but remained high enough so that he could keep watching what was going on. 

“No, no, we need to remain here until it’s completely clear. My wife must have had a feeling that it’s not safe yet, and I trust her instincts to know that she’s right. We need to stay here, and remain low” explained Dexx, the Anglerfish caressing the back of Elvira’s head, the Anglerfish  hiding his daughter’s face into his shoulder in case something bad happened and he didn’t want her to see. 

The Mannequin and her group of friends all began to protest, two of them even calling Dexx a liar, causing the Anglerfish to snarl angrily. 

“Hey, this guy’s wife is the CEO of the Bounty Hunter Agency. They work together, he’s a Bounty Hunter, too, and I work for security. We KNOW for a FACT that it’s still not safe out there yet. If you go out there, you WILL get shot by those Shark Gang members” exclaimed Keven, the Velociraptor snarling angrily back at the group, defending Venno’s instinct for them to remain hidden. 

Marabella nodded, the Elementimp looking worried as she and Keven both got low just as Dexx had, the bus driver following their lead. 

“Yes, it’s risky right now, and it looks like several of those Shark Gang members are remaining alert. They must not know that we’re still trapped in here, otherwise they would have found us and taken us hostage. Or worse…” admitted Marabella, the Elementimp muttering the last part, but everyone was able to hear and understand what she meant.
