The Start of a Blossoming Friendship (Story 19 - Chapter 1)

*Takes place during Elvira’s birthday, 1 month after Malcolm’s (Elvira 6 and Malcolm 7 and 3 months till Dominik is born)

One Month Later: 

The Angle Rapter Casino: 

With Elvira: 

The sun was rising, the light rays of sunshine peeking in through the half-drawn curtains. 

It was still slightly dark out, the sun just peeking up from the horizon between the tall buildings around the city. 

The young Velociraptor Angler was fast asleep in her bed, her two lures sprawled out on the pillow behind her as she gently snored away. 

Since she was still too young to be living in one of the other unoccupied casino rooms alone, her parents had decided to move their home from their original room to one just a single door down, the one they currently reside in with an extra bedroom. 

It had been a simple move, especially since they were only moving everything from one room to another, plus everything was already furnished with the same furniture and ready in case anyone else were to actually move into the casino rooms. 

Not to mention, now that Elvira has her own bedroom, she’ll be able to have her own space until her new sibling arrives. 

Her parents had told her that once she was old enough, they would be moving out of the current room they were living in and back into the original one they had before, and her new baby sibling would be moving into the bedroom they had been occupying while she remained in the one she was currently sleeping in right now. 

Elvira suddenly felt the need to stretch, her arms raising above her head as her back and tail felt satisfied before she curled up, her arms covering her face. 

She had been a little hesitant about the idea of having a new baby sibling, worrying that all the attention she received from her parents would instantly go to them, but she had been reassured that that would not be the case. 

Elvira smiled as she slowly blinked her eyes open, having found that she had turned onto her side facing towards the crib and changing table on the opposite side of the room from her. 

It was normal for first time older siblings to feel a little jealous of new baby siblings, but being told that she would be an amazing older sister made her feel more grown up and ready, the excitement to help take care of the new baby boy or girl bubbling inside of her the closer the estimated date of birth would be. 

Not that she knew what ‘birth’ actually was, anyway. 

All she knew was that her parents would be heading to the hospital, she would stay home with great grandpa Jerry, and in a few days time her parents would return home with her new sibling. 

Elvira suddenly gasped, the young Velociraptor Angler shooting up and quickly glancing down at the small pink and purple calendar that was plastered on the wall beside her nightstand. 

Elvira squealed excited when she saw the date, the young Velociraptor Angler quickly jumping out of bed and running down the hall to her parents bedroom. 

Barging in without knocking, Elvira rushed over and managed to clamber up onto her parent’s bed, the young Velociraptor Angler hopping up and down excitedly as the two continued to sleep. 

“Mommy, daddy! Guess what day it is!” exclaimed Elvira, the young Velociraptor Angler unable to contain her excitement as her father groaned, the Anglerfish grabbing his pillow and attempting to cover his face to drown out the sudden bright light from the hallway.
