With ???:

It was late at night in the city of Los Hellus, and a lone jewelry shop owner was closing up for the night.

The shop owner, a Crystal-like human denizen, was humming a silent tune to himself as he polished off the final gem that he had procured earlier that week, a large orange star-like diamond.

The Crystal denizen smiled proudly as he admired his reflection in the now polished gem before he turned around and gently placed it back into its secured glass display case behind the counter.

As he turned the final lights off in his shop and went to leave, he was suddenly startled by the glass doors shattering open.

“Oh dear goodness! What is the meaning of this!?” exclaimed the Crystal denizen as he quickly rushed behind the counter to take refuge.

As he peeked over the top of his counter, he internally cursed himself for rushing behind the counter like a coward as opposed to trying to bring down the metallic shutters to secure his shop.

The buttons for said shutter controls were located behind a control panel on the wall beside the doors, the box having been hidden behind a painting so as to hide the thing from sight during open hours.

Was this some sort of robbery?

Or was it just a group of vandals, or even protestors?

The Crystal denizen then felt his breath hitch when he caught sight of who the perpetrator of the crime is, a pretty young looking Human Deer walking silently through the blasted open doorway so casually that it made the Crystal denizen think he was just a concerned denizen looking to help.

But the Human Deer was not, in fact, a concerned denizen, or at least not for the Crystal denizen’s sake.

The Human Deer had shoulder length caramel brown hair, his bangs looking tousled yet somehow worked for him. He was wearing a tattered looking grey shirt and matching pants, his boots a darker shade of grey and most likely hiding his deer-like hooves. He also had a long, dark greyish-blue cloak that hid his body with white ruffled looking fur around the collar with a sun-like brooch clipped to one side of it.

The most noticeable features about the Human Deer became known as he stepped closer into the faint white light that had begun flickering for some reason, the shadows appearing as though they were trying to conceal his face, but it was no use as the light continued to flicker.

His sclera appeared to be a very light green, his right iris being a dark brown with some red tones mixed into it while his left iris was a bright green with what looked to be a darker green X crossed into it.

His right ear was lowered with what looked to be scars all along it, his left ear being completely fine and untouched. His right antler only had two points, leading the Crystal denizen to also believe that the Human Deer was most likely a teenager, seeing as how his antler would have been larger with far more points had he been older.

But that was the thing, he only had ONE antler, and as the Human Deer came closer, it became increasingly apparent that the other antler looked as though it had been snapped off, the remainder of the left one nearly hidden under his head of hair, but was still barely visible nonetheless.

And the scowl on the Human Deer’s face as he stepped closer to the counter, that look of impatient anger and hate, would be the center of all future nightmares for the Crystal denizen for it remained locked onto only one object behind the counter.

The Crystal denizen snuck a fearful glance up at where the Human Deer’s hateful gaze was locked on, and he quickly got up to his feet and stood protectively in front of the display case for his recently procured orange star diamond.
