Y/n looked up at the ceiling with watery eyes. The walls seemed to get closer and closer. As if the cage she was in wasn't small enough already. She had only been here for about an hour now and was losing her mind. The silence soon started to become a noise. His voice had returned. His voice was strong and insensitive. It was as if she had never come from here. "You're nothing to me." his voice echoed, "Nothing at all," he added. Y/n put her hands over her ears. But the sound didn't get any quieter. It started softly but his voice got louder and louder. The echo just kept bouncing off the walls. And it just stopped. Tears slowly ran down her cheeks. It squeezed her ears even harder. But her hands couldn't block the sound. His voice began to hurt her ears and head. It was as if his words were trying to enter her brain. His words only hurt the heart more. Now that he was dead, it felt like his ghost was haunting her. As if he was still there but in a different guise. The man puts his hand on her cheek as tears started to form in his eyes. "You haven't aged a day." He whispered. Y/n returned a slight smile. "I thought I would never see you again." He said. "How are you still alive?" Y/n asked him. The old man glanced down at his other hand. He opened it carefully, revealing the magic beans. "He was telling the truth. These beans have magic. They have kept me alive all these years." He tells her. Y/n looked up at him. A tear slipped from the man's eyes. "You're not really here are you?" He asked her. "Why wouldn't I be here?" She asked him. "Because I sold you for magic beans. You would never come back to me. I thought you had forgotten about me, because of what I did to you." He tells her. Y/n puts her hand over his. "I never forgot about you." She replied. The man smiled at her through his tears. "You look just like your mother." He tells her. Y/n smiled at him. "I know. You've told me that a dozen times." She replied. The man carefully grabs her hands. "Can you...can you forgive me?" He asked her weakly. Y/n looks up at him. She nodded slowly. The man let out a deep sigh. He leaned back into his chair. "Now, I can finally rest." He whispered. He closed his eyes. "So I can be reunited with my family." He added. Y/n watched as he slowly started to drift off. She got up again, removing her hands from his. She walked back towards the door. She glanced over her shoulder. "Goodbye, father." She whispered. "You left me to die!" he yelled.
More tears started to roll from her eyes as he went on. He rambled on about how she left him to die in the house. How she took his youth. How she wasted everything. To him, she was the cause of everything bad that ever happened to him. Y/n screamed as loud as she could. Her voice bounced off the walls but could only make his voice disappear for a short time. Within two minutes his hurtful words were back. His voice echoed through her mind and soul. This couldn't be happening again. This couldn't happen to her. And why was it so much worse this time? Maybe it was because she has been here before. Maybe it was because of everything that has happened. Maybe it was because her father died. Y/n couldn't think about it. Even if she wanted to think about it she couldn't. His voice had too much effect on her. She continued to scream and plead for the voices to stop. She wanted his voice to disappear forever. She never wanted to hear that man speak again. Not after everything he had done to her. Another heartbreaking scream left her mouth. Not that anyone would hear her. The loud scream bounced against the walls of the cave and came right back to her. Little did she know, someone did hear her. Felix was still searching for her. He wasn't too far from the caves when he heard her scream. He immediately jumped up and rushed towards the sound. He reached the opening of the echo caves. He inhaled deeply before he went inside. There she was. Locked in the cage and trapped inside the echo. "No..." Felix whispered, "Y/n!" He called out to her. His voice stood out to Y/n. She opened her eyes and waited for the sound to come back to her. "Y/n!" Felix called out to her. Y/n sat up and looked between the bamboo. "Felix." She cried. Her voice broke into a million pieces. She reached out to him. Felix took off his hood. "Don't worry, I'm coming! Just give me a minute." He assured her. He knew exactly what he had to do now. He didn't want to do it. Felix had to expose his deepest, darkest secret. He looked at Y/n in the small cage. He saw it in her eyes. She was so scared.
He took a deep breath. "I want Pan to die." He spoke, "I want him gone. Out of everyone's lives. Not because he's a bad friend. Everyone would be better off without him. Especially us. With Pan gone we could be together. I want him to die." Felix revealed. Only half of the bridge appeared. Felix looked at Y/n. "Princess," He called out to her. Y/n looked at him with watery eyes through the small openings. "Princess, you need to help me out here. I can't get to you. You have to reveal your secret." Felix tells her. He could see her shaking her head slightly. "Y/n, please." He pleaded. Y/n's lips started to tremble slightly. "Y/n, just do it, please." He added. A few more tears trailed down her cheeks. "I don't want to say it." She tells him. "You'll have to if you want to get out of that cage, Y/n. I'll be right there. I promise." He assured her. Y/n shut her eyes. One small tear rolled down her cheek. "I lied to him. To Pan. And I lied to myself as well. At least I think I have. I never admitted it. But I used to dream of having a child of my own. A baby to nurture. I didn't want to think about it because I am terrified of dying and leaving my baby alone in this world. Because I was alone. For years. And I never stopped feeling alone. Never." She spoke. Felix's eyes softened. The other half of the bridge appeared and the cage was opened. Y/n crawled out as soon as Felix reached her. He held her tightly in his arms. "You're okay. You're safe." He tells her. Y/n buried her face in his chest. "I'm sorry." She apologized. Felix shook his head as he ran his hand through her hair. "You have nothing to be sorry about." He assured her. She looked up at him. "Why would he do this?" She asked him. Her voice was slowly breaking again. The blonde Lost Boys brushed her thumbs over her cheeks, wiping away her tears. "I'm taking you home before I find that out." He tells her. He swept her off her feet and carried her out of the cave in bridal style. The Lost Girl rested her face in the crook of his neck. "Thank you." She whispered. Felix pressed a gentle kiss against her temple. "It's what I do." He smiled.
When they arrived at the camp, Felix immediately locked eyes with Pan. The leader of the Lost Boys looked at them with fear in his eyes. The other Lost Boys noticed them walking towards him. Some of them came rushing over to Felix asking him all kinds of questions about what happened to Y/n. She stayed silent. And so did Felix. But he never broke eye contact with his leader. He silently took Y/n to his tent, a couple of boys following close behind. Felix put her on his bed and tucked her in tightly. "What happened?" Devin questioned as he entered the tent. "He is so dead." Felix groaned quietly. He pressed a soft kiss on Y/n's forehead. He ordered Devin and two other Lost Boys to stay close to her. Before Y/n could say anything to him, the blonde had already disappeared out of the tent again. "Felix." She whispered. Devin knelt next to her. "Y/n, what happened? One moment you were here and the other you were gone. We were worried sick about you." He tells her. Y/n sat up again. "He'll kill him." She said. When she tried to get out of bed, Devin stopped her. "Hey, where are you going?" He asked. But Y/n didn't seem like herself. As if she wasn't completely here. Mentally. "Devin, please-" Y/n started. "No, first you tell me what happened." He said sternly.
