Side Note: A beauty and the beast Au with a bit of a twist to it.

He flew fast and low between each and every tree in his sight. Flying backwards to stop any reflection hitting towards the small village laid just outside the dark, creepy and haunted rumoured woods.

Fling up high before falling free back down low before leaping at the last second and zig-zagging between all the lined cottages on either side of the single dirt path that walked through the while villain from the woods path to the path that led over the hills on the opposite end.

Flying high and quick to reach the roofs and following along their straw rooftops to keep out of sight from any wondering eyes in the early morning. Keeping silent and twisting his small body just right to stop any of the sunlight reflecting against his will.

Falling to a slow stop and edging towards the edge of the current straw roof cottage he came to reach and popped the tip of his body to catch a quick view below. Holding his breath and letting himself to roll over the edge in such speed that a hawk would be jealous.

Rolling into a spin as he let gravity take over and yank himself down completely. Soaring back up at just the right timing and slipping his handle into one of the scrolls left tied to the rest of the strolls slung over the messenger boy. Slipping free with one so easily and precisely that he flew away with the neatly rolled and tied scroll without any disturbance to the skipping messenger boy or the other scrolls left behind to be pinned up around the village.

He thrived rushing about upside down and allowing himself the joy of a few tricks to stop any rising sun reflecting on his mirror. Only slowing down and casually floating around the trees and making his way back home.

He has never found the woods or the manor that hid within them as very scary or a threat. They're his home and have been for many, many years. More years than he's bothered to count unlike some of his roommates within the manor.

Humming an old tune he's known since his birth as he travelled back to deliver the daily news scroll that he knew the head of the household enjoys reading each and every morning. The rest of them would read it later that day once he was finished with the scroll and give them a chance to gain a glance into the world that still grew and carried on without them all.

He never cared much for the world outside. He use to enjoy showing off and speaking with other's but he doesn't miss all the parties and fake smiles. He's enjoyed the quiet life over the years since the curse was placed upon them.

Yes, a curse.

The head of the household was given a terrible curse when he refused to allow a witch to stay within his home. He's lost his parents, his brother to strangers with a false smile and evil plans. Swords stained with their blood, poisoning and betrayals is how the head of the Wayne household has ever seen from those he was supposed to see as friends.

He wasn't going to allow a perfect stranger into his home, no matter how bad the weather he got. He wasn't going to allow any more attacks to happen, and it was understandable to the rest of them. But the witch didn't hold knowledge over his past or the "whys" of his reasoning to refuse her a room for the night. She cursed him and all in the manor with him due to his selfish heart.
