He believed that some Omega's and Alpha's would stand as universal mates, soulmates, destined mates. Whatever some might call them as, true mates that were born for one another and were never have meant to fallen in love, as their own person and with their inner wolves, with someone who wasn't that one person they were destined to be mated with. 

His father was a real bastard, an old ways Alpha who believed he was a god and held the most power in the world. Who believed Omega's were born to please their alpha, to worship them and to be bred by them. 

His mother, his step-mother who was more of a mother then whatever bitch had birthed him and left him behind as soon as she could. His mother, Catherine, she was his mother not some random lady who had placed her name upon his birth certificate. 

His mother had told him the truth over mates. A blessing to them that most Omega's forgot over and didn't notice just how much power and strength they held over their Alpha. How they were to be worshiped and served upon. 

An Alpha can bite down on an Omega's glands whenever they felt like it but it was the Omega's bite on the Alpha's gland that truly mated them. If the Omega didn't bite back, held back and refused to bite, the mated mark would fade from their neck and they wouldn't stand as mates with the Alpha who had wrongly assumed they were in control. 

Catherine taught him that fact, the truth over the power each and every Omega held all along. Not many were taught, not in schools and not bu their parents. It was a fact known but purposely kept hidden. Alpha's stayed in control as long as this secret was kept unspoken but some were smart, some were strong and some were stubborn. Catherine was his hero once, before she had lost hope and given up, turned to drugs when she couldn't handle no longer being treated like a goddess by her alpha anymore. She passed on the fact she knew, forced him to keep it a secret unless it's towards another Omega who'd be able to stand up against an Alpha, to place them beneath their feet instead and keep their will power long enough to sit upon a throne instead of Alpha. 

He promised to keep that secret for as long as he needed to. 

He watched what an unhappy bonded pair brought towards mates. He was told by his mother that she had loved deeply and respected his father once. They were young, in love and the best of friend's. She had accepted him, freshly born pup, into her nest and she had taken a single look before knowing he was her own pup, blood or not. 

Catherine was loyal to Willis, so loyal that it ended up killing her slowly. 

His mother passed on her dying secret, a secret she wasn't able to carry the weight the burden it brought anymore. She had lost hope, given up her happy ending and lost her very own soul in the end. 

She never taught him over the side effects over an omega biting an unworthy Alpha, to gain them as bonded mates. 

An omega can die if it's not loved as deeply as back. If it's ignored or not given full attention, loving and caring attention. It can drive them mad. Make them depressed, a different type of depression that many other's can gain. This type of depression triggers the Omega into wasting away, to ruin their body. It's a clear warning to the Alpha that if they can't cherish and keep their Omega happy, they'd lose them while the Omega stays loyal until their very last breath.
