Dick Bingo Random Thought

Okay, hear me out on this wild and random thought that proves I most likely need more sleep than I'm getting right now.

Dick was nine when he was Robin.

NINE.

And we all know he likes high places and to climb.

We all know he's broken a few chandelier's back in the day too.

So, what happens when he needs to be in a high place to think or feel safe WHILE being Robin.

Like, between missions or during a case or stakeout or something.

What if Robin just climbed the other heroes and sat on their shoulders without warning just to be somewhere high.

It started with the normal cute childish act.

Batman putting him on his shoulder's when he noticed Robin seeming tired or a little bit anxious over something while they're out and it was a mostly peaceful moment in the night.

And Superman would easily pick Robin up and hug him and treat him like a normal child while they're both standing as heroes.

Diana would be roped into it due to her strength and of course the rest of the Justice League would mostly join in without noticing it. They'd just unconsciously pick Dick up and put him on their shoulders or give him a piggy back ride.

And that sparks an idea in Dick.

He invites the shoulder carry Bingo game.

He crosses out every hero who's ever let him on their shoulders before.

Some months he'd only go for heroes with certain colours in their uniforms.

Other months he might go for alien only or something to do with similar Meta powers.

And of course, the hero business and Justice League grows as he grows older.

Dick might have been growing up in age but he's started this game and he's not going to let his age get in the way.

So, he carries on trying to get on other heroes shoulders.

And what's more amazing, no one cares.

They're so use to Robin growing up and being carried on their shoulders at some point that none of the original members took notice that he was still doing it as a grown man.

Any new members just assumed it was normal when no one commented on it or complained over it.

So everyone just left Nightwing to sit on their shoulders at random points and having no clue Dick had turned it into a never ending game for him.

The only person who realized what he was doing was Alfred and that's because he found the many notepads filled with hero names written down with the month time stamp at the top of the page.

And of course Alfred never snitched on him either. He was amused over it all and even helped come up with new themes on what heroes he should go for during that month or year.

For the fun of it... the other Robin's tried to do it at least ONCE.

They've seen Dick do it at all different ages and wondered if it was a Robin perk somehow.

So, they've picked their favourite heroes and tried it.

Each and EVERY hero turned their heads and looked at them strangely, making the whole experience a little awkward for the robin and the chosen hero they were sat on.

No one batted an eye when it was Dick doing it but any other Robin who tried was looked at as if it was odd.

Dick crackles every time another Robin fails. He's secretly taken photos, passing them to Alfred who's added them to the photo books.
