Side Note: I mention that the carpet on the ramp being thinner for wheelchair's shake because I knew someone in a wheelchair before they moved and their wheels couldn't always be pushed on every surface. I don't know how to explain it and things might have changed due to things being better built. But certain carpets made the wheels stick a little or just drag along and make the movement more rough. So, thinking over that, I purposely mentioned the carpet being thinner so wheels would stay on the smooth surface of the ramp. I mean no disrespect to anyone while mentioning this and wanted to explain myself over it. I know wheelchairs have improved but the person really couldn't go on certain surfaces and I wanted to add a bit of real-hood to the story.

Side Note 2: Roy is still a little bit older than Dick. The two having met as teens while Roy was on a school trip and gotten lost. Bumping into Dick who helped him find his school students.

"Tonight's rules?" Bruce asked as they were now pulling up outside of the event's location, seeing a purple carpet laid down the main door's staircase. Staff members ready to open the car doors and take any keys to part the guests vehicle elsewhere during the gala.

"Don't talk to the press. Don't talk with another guests alone, they're worse than the press. Try not to be trapped into a dance with another guest, they'll let their hands wonder. Don't ever doubt that you love me. Don't allow them to destroy my self worth and confidence. And if they do, at least learn their names so you can destroy them in business later" Dick listed them all out with a faint smile, tapping each finger he held up as he spoke them and glancing to the roof of the car as if he needed to think hard to remember them. But as always, he was just being dramatic.

"And?" Bruce added with a warning tone, knowing the other was purposely trying not to mention it in hopes he could get away with doing it.

"Don't swing or climb anything that I shouldn't or that looks super expensive. No matter how temped I am or if I'm even dared to do it" Dick sighed, slumping in the seat in defeat over not being able to climb anything or swing on any fancy chandeliers.

"Good. Alfred will give us the both disappointing look if you break that rule" Bruce replied with a small nod, glad that the other remembered to behave tonight. Shivering at the mere thought of Alfred's disappointed look.

"You're lucky that Alfred terrifies me as much as he does you otherwise those chandeliers would be mine for the swinging" Dick huffs out as he puffs his cheeks out, sulking like a child.

Bruce was pulling to a stop at the bottom of the stairs. Turning his engine off and awaiting for the valet to open his door and pass his car keys over. Giving his partner's hand one last squeeze before removing his hand and stepping out as soon as the driver's door opened.

A second valet hurried over to the passenger's door, opening it for Dick who was about to open it for himself and sent a sheepish smile towards the second valet who just kindly smiled back in understanding.

Bruce was by the valet's side, offering his hand to his partner and helping Dick to step out and stand. Nodding in silence gratitude to the valet for not embarrassing his date before linking his his hand with Dick's.
