One year and two months since Bruce was deemed dead by the Justice League. One year since the league had stopped searching for a body to return to the Batfamily. A year since Jason stood up as Batman and protected Gotham.

To have Tim as Black Bat after Damian became Batboy. Leaving Steph as Spoiler and Cass, now in Hong Kong, as Crow.

Three months since everyone was final able to hear and see Dick, for Dick to join the family completely and be apart of their daily life without Jason having to play the middle man.

The Wayne manor was at peace once more, filled with happiness and love as it should have always been filled with.

But of course, nothing ever stays easy for a bat.

Bruce was alive and brought back, leaving them all gathered in the batcave just staring at the man they had finally accepted in losing for good. He was lost to the timestream.

Most of the bat family moved to test if he was truly Bruce. Testing his dna, his memory and going over every protocol made for moments like this. Proving he wasn't a clone, robot or alternate universe self.

He was their very own Bruce Wayne, Batman had escaped death again.

Once he was finished tested, patched up and had laid to rest for Alfred approved enough hours of sleep. Everyone had thrown themselves at him. Clinging or hovering close by now that he was back and filling him in on everything he missed.

Jason stayed back, keeping some distance since he and Bruce wasn't overly close before the guy was assumed dead. They found a truce but they still weren't seeing eye to eye. It's why Jason was surprised he was called upon to help with the family after his death and Bruce had seemed to want Jason to step up as he did.

"Are you mad?" Dick asked quietly as he sat on the edge of the bed the two of them have been using as they've lived within the manor. It was mostly deemed as Dick's bedroom since Jason still had his own that he still hasn't stepped inside since his death. The pair of them been slowly adding more and more to their shared room since they arrived, making it a second home.

"For what?" Jason asked as he ran his fingertips over his bookshelf, trying to find his favourite as he's been in the mood to read it lately. He knew Alfred didn't mind that he's stolen a few books from the library to fill his bookshelf with so he could read in his room more at bedtime.

"I knew but never told you. Any of you" Dick reminded him with a troubled frown, feeling a little guilty for hiding the truth all along.

"You couldn't have told us. It would have broken the rules. I'm glad you didn't spoil any of this for us" Jason reassured him as he walked towards him, his voice soft and honest.

"Maybe I should return to our safe house. I feel like a creeper hiding around the manor. We were given this ring so I could be seen but I haven't touched it since Bruce had woken from his rest" Dick mumbled back with a nervous look, glancing to the ring gifted to them by Constantine so Dick could be seen and heard by the rest. But since Bruce woke after resting after his return, he hasn't touched the ring. Everyone has been focused on Bruce being back that they haven't noticed they haven't seen or heard from him since. Dick felt it might be best to make an escape now, leave the family to their happy return and keep Death out of any topics.
