Side Note: Warlord/crime lord Bruce Wayne has protected Gotham for many years without ever once dressing up to play the part of a hero. He's gained full control over Gotham, allowing gangs to respectfully still do business without bringing harm to Gotham's innocent civilians. Gotham was still filled with Crime but, it was a liveable city for those who chose to call it as their home. 

Side Note 2: Dick and Starfire did have a daughter in this universe. But Mar'i Grayson was sent to Tamaran due to having the same powers as Koriand'r. Leaving Earth not safe enough for Mar'i to practice and control her powers. A loyal guard to Koriand'r had agreed to raise Mar'i as his own daughter on Tamaran and in doing so, Dick was forever left out of his daughter's life since she was only a week old. Dick would have been a young parent, around nineteen, having met Kory during his Circus days before meeting up with her again and the two falling into an relationship. The pregancy happening after their first time and them both learning no human protection actually worked on a Tamaranean.

Dick was twenty two when he met Bruce and married him at twenty four. The two having a quick marriage as he they knew they were the one and didn't waste time by dating for a long period and just got married instead. 

Mr and Mr Wayne, crime lords of Gotham stood as some fancy gala. Unlike an Gotham gala that was normally filled with the rich, no one caring how they gained their money or what work they did to earn so much. Metropolis was filled with those who earned their money from old blood like Wayne, their own companies or trying to hide their illegal actions. 

Gotham was known for it's crime, most old blood families had long since died out or lose their fortune in passing years. Gotham was the city of crime after all, if you didn't grow to change as the times did, you were left to burn in the past. 

Hence, money was money. It didn't matter how you earned it or for how long you had it. If you were rich, you were rich. Only the Wayne's stood as the last original bloodline of Gotham by now. The Wayne's always growing with time and adapting to change as the named aged as it's bloodline did. One thing stayed the same, Wayne's loved Gotham and protected her people in any way they could. 

Hence, Bruce sat as the king of Gotham in his own crime lord ways. He ran gangs as if they were soldiers following their orders until their last breath. He made Gotham survival-able for everyone and he treated everyone with an equal chance. No one tried to remove his crown or betray him, not unless they were new and dumb. 

Wayne's had saved Gotham plenty of times and in return, they've been given respect and loyalty. 

But Metropolis was completely different to Gotham. The rich stood on the poor and bragged over their money as they did so. Crime was hidden behind bribes and disgrace lost you your place among them. Everyone's money had to be deemed as clean enough for them to stay around unless you had enough money to keep any tracks of illegal business hidden out of sight.
