Side Note: I haven't watched superman battle of the super sons. I wanted to watch it as soon as possible but than everyone everywhere started spoiling it since the first day it came out and ruined it a little. I've seen/read about enough spoilers that I know enough. I plan to still watch it but I'm gonna wait until the excitement dies down a little more so I can hopefully watch it with a bit of forgotten memory over the spoilers.
But hearing/seeing about Jon and Damian fighting Batman and Superman reminded me over that episode in Young Justice where Connor and Dick fought Batman and Superman. It sparked the idea for this oneshot.
Side Note 2: Kon will be Young Justice superboy. Connor will be superboy who wears a leather jacket.
Side Note 3: Dick and Kon won't be married. I'd like to think that why they both love the idea of marriage, they're not prepared for it. Not ready for their wedding being used as a symbol or a large hero wedding. They'd both want a small, cheap wedding and just one, just as Kon and Dick. So, they'd be just boyfriends but they'd be forever partners in spirt.
Jon happily accepted the fussing being done by Nightwing and less obvious Kon. He accepted the hugs and cheek kisses from Nightwing. Accepting the hair ruffles given to him by Kon when Nightwing moves to taking in Damian's wounds and showering him in affection afterwards.
Both boys stepped back beside each other once Nightwing was done and stood up again. Keeping a meter between them as his worry built up again and Kon even showed his own concern openly.
Both boys fearing a lecture or a one-sided argument over their actions. To be punished for anything they might have done or given extra training to improve where they might have struggled. But it never came, instead they were send spinning in an unexpected direction that neither minded.
"Both of you were so brave and strong. We're proud of you both and I'm so sorry that you had to fight your fathers. Neither of you should have been forced to face them. You better come and find us if you have any nightmares or need to talk about it at all. It must have been so scary. Neither of you deserved to have faced that by yourselves and we're sorry we weren't able to help" Dick gently spoke as he looked to them both, his eyes sad and apologize as he slid the lenses open and he wanted them both to understand that his incident shouldn't have ever happened to them. Nor was it their fault at all.
"He means it. You better come find us if you need to talk about it or the memories flash back. It shouldn't have happened and you both must have frightened. It never should have happened again" Kon spoke up, his voice soft but his face serious as he agreed with his boyfriend and making sure they understand that the offer was real. They'd both be there for the boys if they needed them.
"Now, go wait for us in the longue and rest up some more. I'm sure Superman and B will be taking you both out for some ice cream today instead of forcing you both to train. A treat for our brave young heroes" Dick smiled sweetly, patting their cheeks with care and nodding for them to hurry away while promising them treats later on.
