Side Note: Okay, I'm sure half of you know by now I'm from England. Meaning for us, Football is something where you use your foot to kick a ball. Football. But, since Dc is based elsewhere and you guys call it Soccer. I'll betray my own preference and being using American's term of football instead of my own. So, when I mention football within this oneshot .. I mean the game that isn't involved with your FOOT kicking the BALL. I wish to add on that I have shivers down my spine for calling American football as football, I feel my own people's betrayal gazes fall upon me. 

Side Note 2: This is set after Conner starts going to school with Megan and ends up joining the Football team. I will warn you all that I'm still getting help from other's over learning the basic of American high school life. So, don't expect much details with this..

Side Note 3: I've need been to a school game. We don't really have them or at least my school didn't. They were always away games and we only had three sport teams in our high school. Only two of them actually did games since the third team didn't have any schools close by to play friendly games with and the school wouldn't allow enough budget to travel far away enough to play one. So, all I know over watching school games is from movies. Just a heads up in case half of the things don't actually happen or aren't that easy or cheap or whatever I do wrong. 

Dick glanced around at the Happy Harbor high school grounds. Taking in the form of a public school and wondering what it was like to go to one. He was always home schooled with any of the other circus children during his early years before being thrown into the private school, Gotham Academy, once moving in with Bruce. 

He never got the normal high school experience where he got to decide what group of friends he joined or fitted with. He was always seen as Bruce Wayne's Ward once he started Gotham Academy or worse, seen as a charity case and a Circus freak. He didn't get to make "friends" that every other student got a chance to make. 

His first day was filled with fellow students laughing at him or insulting him over his background. While the other half tried growing close in hopes to be rewarded in some way in the future by Wayne's good fortune or gain some better stepping grounds for their parents business by being friends with him. 

So, Dick didn't make friends or tried to make them. He knew he was seen as an outsider or a ladder by his classmates and wasn't going to play by their rules. He'd rather be solo, charming and friendly to them all but keeping to himself still. 

It's why he accepted Wally's offer to join him to watch Conner's first game on the football team while Megan got to do her first cheerleading show on the side-lines. Artemis was invited by Megan but didn't do the whole "watching a game" thing and passed. Wally didn't even hesitation to agree and promise to be there, gaining permission to bring a friend too. 

The friend was Dick if he couldn't find a way to arrive as Robin without being obvious about it. Dick found a way to still be Robin and leaving Wally to come up with a fake excuse over his friend not being able to come but Robin had asked to come instead as Gotham didn't need to be patrolled tonight. Megan and Conner seemed to be rather surprised but happy to have Robin come to an public event with them.
