Dick didn't know what the big surprise was on Halloween.

He wasn't sure if he should be hurt or relieved that he was left out of whatever his brothers have done now.

If he was left in the dark than it made it easier to tell Alfred he didn't know anything but he also wanted to bond with his siblings with something they all would enjoy.

He decided to face whatever destruction, broken laws or violence his brothers had caused face on and just prepare to apologize on their behalf before trying to fix whatever they've done togehter.

He's already got Alfred's phone contact open on his phone leaving him to merely have to press the button and he knew Bruce would be busy with trying to tell their normal rogues apart from Gotham drunk collage students who thought dressing up as a villain would help them get laid.

All Dick knew was that he expected another Halloween to be ruined for him. He use to love the holiday as it gave him a chance to dress up as he would back in the circus.

No one battered an eyelid at a random kid dresses as an acrobat and flying across the skies as if he was born with a pair of wings.

To sleep in outfits that Alfred had been kind enough to sew for him and to practice the old routine he'd done with his parents long ago.

Halloween was the only day he wouldn't be judge for his first home and old habits. He got to keep that part of himself alive, just for one single day.

But he grew up, missions came first. Outfits were never finished on time as he protected his city and his people. Friends came first and his own life got put on hold.

An old habit can easily die out when life takes control.

So, Dick had grown use to never experience a bit of home when Halloween anymore.

If it wasn't rogue, it was a friend in need or family needing him instead.

Halloween wasn't his taste of his first home and fabric for acrobatic outfits were no longer bought since he knew, he'd never get to wear it. And he wouldn't force himself to watch that life die before him all over again.

The cave was found empty when Dick had arrived to see what his brothers have left to him to deal with now. Strolling around the main areas of the cave and noticing a few signs of someone have worked there at some point.
