Side Note: I'm gonna use Wolf, Conner's pet from young justice in this story. Leaving Krypto to be Jon's pet.

It's been a good ten years since Dick gained his sanctuary, since "Grayson's Nest" finally opened up for all circus animals and stray meta's in the world. 

Life had been good for Dick, he's dated a few people. The longest was with an alien called Kory who he took in and was now the leader of the titans in titan tower far enough away from the sanctuary. The two might have had a future in another life, in another world but Dick's heart had stupidly fallen in love with someone else long before he offered a helping hand to Kory and offered her a home when she was lost. 

Now, he's had a handful of different breeds of animals. Not all from Haly's as other Circus's got in touch when their own sanctuary didn't accept all animals out of fear of the other animals attacking one another. 

He even lived with Elinore now, the old girl was finally retired and too old to live the performance life. It was nice to live with his step in big sister/auntie figure again. And of course, after visiting Haly's to check on the old girl since he planned to return with her due to being an important member in his life. He bumped into Zitka, his best and first friend ever. The elephant grown up and became her own star since he last lived with her. 

Zitka ended up living with him too. Retried early since she stubbornly stopped preforming once he left with Elinore, kept searching for him wherever the circus pulled for a stop. It got so bad that Haly merely retired her early so she could stick with her favourite family member and Dick didn't mind taking her on early. 

He's got a tiger, Will. A male monkey named Buck and a female chimpanzees called Lu. Three female horses named Abby, Maria and Victoria. A male zebra named Marty, how original he knows. A python named Jeff, he was actual a pet for a performer who wasn't able to carry on looking after him. And lastly a bear named Haly, it was a recuse that Haly circus had rescued from not so nice people and sent to Dick for protection. 

Life was good. Even as Dick lived a handful of others. His three legged baby girl, a dog, Haley. A clone who was physically almost the same age, Conner or superboy to those when he's out saving the day. Oh and Wolf, Conner's actually wolf pet. A nineteen year old hero known as Garfield who beastboy when he's out saving the world. A twenty year old women he picked up when she was just a frighten teen, Raven. 

He's had other hero/meta strays come and go but those three had never actually left the sanctuary safety. They'd meet up with the titans team when called or go help other heroes when needed. But they've made one of the houses on the sanctuary as their own home and are happy to help care for the animals whenever they're not saving the world.

The handful of strays had became his family and he's rather enjoyed life.

"Garfield we're expecting a new elephant to arrive today. He got hurt during a show and can't preform anymore so they're retired him early. Meaning don't transform into an animal and hide in one of the huts. I can't keep lying over you being an animal that was caught up in a chemical reactions and was dyed green. More so if you turn into a different animal every time they come along. It's getting suspicious now" Dick spoke up with a tired tone as he walked towards the animal shifter who was lazing across the wooden bench that was tucked against the wall under the window to the second house. Garfield favourite spot outside the animal's hut.
