Christmas Special!

HAVE SOME MERRY JOY!

HAPPY NEW VOTE!

Mistletoe.

It was just something stupid that Tim had read online somewhere and read it out loud expecting the rest of them to laugh. It was before Jason returned, before Damian joined the family and Barabra incident.

It was just Bruce, Dick, Alfred, Tim and Barabra since Kate wanted nothing to do with them for a while. They were a small and tensed family, but they were still together for Christmas.

Mistlefoe instead of mistletoe.

The theory of fighting someone instead of kissing them underneath the mistletoe.

Half of them laughed while the other half thought over the concept until Bruce announced they'd give it a go. Use it as a training excise to learn how to handle a sudden ambush and defending oneself against different type of fighters in any situation it happens as.

The only excused for a mistlefoe to turn back into a mistletoe was in the open public eyes or a gala. Anywhere private or unseen and it stood as mistlefoe once more.

Mistlefoe brought a whole new meaning to decking the halls at the manor.

Steph join them, Jason came back, and Cass was a part of the family. Mistlefoe gaining new players without a single word spoken over rules since the only one was to not kill the other.

Alfred was the only family member excused from the training exercise and so was Barbra once the incident happened. But Kate started to visit much more often once Mistlefoe became a regular charismas tradition in the manor and roofs of Gotham.

No one won or lost at mistlefoe.

Sure, someone had to lose the fight but no on truly won. It was just training them to fight and handle the situation depending on the identity or spot they stood in. Teaching them to react correct against certain threats while acting the needed part at the time.

Damian and Duke were soon apart in due time and it carried on for many more years to come after them. Sometimes guests at the manor would join if they held a hero identity. They were all pre-warned over mistlefoe beforehand and if they still stood inside the manor than they had silently accepted the training exercise as well.

Not many guests arrived during December after the first lot of hero visits by those curious over mistlefoe or game for a friendly chat and was forced into a fight without any real warning. Some were brave enough to still try and visit, carefully looking over everywhere they stepped to dodge any mistletoe left hanging around or placed upon something.

With Alfred not being a fighting member, he was in charge or moving the mistletoe around regular enough that the fights were always unexpected. No one knew where or who their next foe would be.

Mistlefoe also helped handle arguments, disagreement and simply release some stress that was ready to burst out of the soul. It might not have been a healthy bonding methood but it did help them all show their frustration or stand their ground after something happened between a few of them with or without their masks on.
