my phone goes off as soon as i get out of the high school. three texts from joshua.

joshua: how did it go?

joshua: only texting cause you said you get out this time

joshua: don't feel obligated to answer that.

and then another right now.

joshua: you can tell me later if you'd rather.

i smile and hit the call button on my phone. it doesn't even ring once before i hear a heavily breathing joshua voice.

"haiii tyler!"

"hi joshua," i reply standing in front of the high school.

"how did it go? did you pass?"

"i won't know til the end of today or this time tomorrow. they said it'll take a few hours to twenty four hours."

"oh."

"yeah i know, nerve-breaking enough?"

i hear joshua giggle. it makes me feel weird inside.

"they should have to tell you immediately."

"agreed, very much agreed."

"how many other kids were there?"

"four."

"do tell."

"i don't know their names, but both of them were couples. looked like teen parents."

"my mom was a teen parent."

"what really?"

"yeah. her and my dad took a ged test a few months before i was born."

"oh."

"yeah. they've been together for so long. oh my gosh."

i smiled sheepishly even though he can't make out my face. he can't even see my face. he's not even my boyfriend and i miss him. i want to see his face.

i want to be his boyfriend.

a/n: love you guys :)
