October 1939 - Bucky's POV

"Stop being so antsy."

"I can't help it. I've been waiting for this day for a long time."

"I know pal." Steve squeezed my shoulder. We heard the door open, both of us turning to see Daniel walking in.

"She's finally ready. When I told her you were getting antsy, she started moving even slower."

Of course she did. That brat.

Steve and Daniel started laughing. The music began playing signaling the ceremony was starting. After watching the bridesmaids, ring bearer, and flower girls walk down the aisle it was finally time for me to see my girl. The doors opened and it felt like I couldn't breathe. Riley was the most stunning person I've ever seen. Her long brown hair, pinned back to show her perfect features. She had the most beautiful smile on her face. I felt tears forming in my eyes.

Keep it together man.

I looked down at her dress, the beautiful lace fabric covered her arms and her chest and continued down over a white dress. I felt Steve squeeze my shoulder, I turned my head to look at him.

"She looks beautiful pal."

"Yes she does."

Once Riley and Sophia reached the end of the aisle, Sophia placed Riley's hand in mind. She gave her daughter a quick kiss on the cheek before giving me a gentle smile. Riley passed her bouquet to Rose before taking my other hand.

"You look beautiful."

She smiled, before biting her lip. "You don't look too bad yourself B."

I looked down at her lips and started to lean in when we heard someone clearing their throat.

"Let's save that for the end of the ceremony please."

I let out a nervous chuckle, giving a small apology before focusing on the ceremony. It was time for the wedding vows and I was going first. I let out a breath before clearing my throat.

"Riley there are no words to explain how much you mean to me. Walking up to you on the playground and stealing your cookies was the best thing I've ever done."

She giggled, shaking her head.

"You are the love of my life, my best friend, and the person I need most in life. I love you for the way you make me feel when we're together and I miss you so much when we're apart. We've grown so much together and you enrich my life and inspire me to be better. I truly don't know what I would do without you and I hope to never find out because without you, I have nothing. I promise to love and support you every day. I promise to take care of you and prioritize you. Today and forever, I give you my heart, my soul, and my trust, no matter what our future might bring."
