MA stared at Cherry as she explained, he was still a little mad that they left without giving them more notice than just a note on a door, but the most important thing is that they were safe and in good hands.
"Very well," he sighed, "but next time let us know when you're going out for so long."
"I left a note, Uncle," Poldara pointed out.
"A note that said you would be back in half an hour, it's been at least three now," MA scolded, crossing his arms.
Poldara hung his head in shame at getting into trouble but raised it at what MA said next.
"I'll go home and tell you dads that you'll be staying out a little longer, but I want you both-" he pointed to Poldara, then to Cherry, then back to Poldara, "-back before midnight, understood."
"Yes sir," Poldara said sarcastically, giving a mock salute.
MA rolled his eyes but smiled and patted his nephew's head, "good, do you need me to get you anything when I return?"
"No, but Akita is still at the castle with Empyr and Grandfather, maybe you could take her home?"
"Sure, remember, home before midnight," MA said, he then bid everyone farewell, spread out his multi-colored wings, and took off out of the sinkhole.
"So overprotective," Poldara muttered, shaking his head.
After a moment, Poldara decided to take off his prosthetic for a little bit since it was starting to hurt, having been on all day without a break. He took it off and set it aside, then absent-mindedly rubbed his stub to help it feel better.

-"At least that way you know that they care." Cherry rubbed her face as she plopped back down on the ground, Chandeler was running around as the fireflies continuously zig zagged.
-"Family is a complicated thing, but it's always good to know that someone out there is looking after you." Cherry murmured as she laid down on her back on the small area filled with grass , gazing at the dark starry sky. "Sorry I got you in trouble. It's not usually what is supposed to happen when me and Hatter visit other dimensions..." the girl blinked, soundlessly breathing in and out.
Chandeler finally stopped racing after the beetles , out of breath, and hopped over the rocks to the place where the winged countryhuman was sitting at. He stared with interest at the prosthetics, since in his days such things were not yet existent.
-"Is it hard to walk with those?" He asked in a squeal.
M:
"A little bit," Poldara admitted, not looking at the little entity, "it rubs if I wear it for too long. I had an accident where I was in a burning aircraft hanger at Uncle MA's military base, I ran in to save a friend when the building started collapsing and a ten-ton support beam fell on my legs, crushing them. I didn't lose my leg from the beam directly, it was just too damaged to repair so it had to be amputated. My left leg was able to be saved but-"
Poldara paused and rolled up his pants leg, revealing the brace on his other leg.
"-Let's just say that I can't walk altogether without this, and even then I mostly travel by wheelchair since it's easier." He rolled back down his pants leg and leaned back on his hands, "I was young back then, I was still in cadet training when it happened so I never got the chance to be a soldier, the one thing I wanted to be my whole life up to that point. I took it hard, developed an alcohol addiction and became very violent to everyone I cared about, even my own parents."
