Somewhere ... Somewhere far away ...

Inside this bubble a boy sat, isolated from the rest of the world. Everything around was peaceful as he floated through the immense abyss of pure white. White isn't even a color ... nor is black. Yet we could perceive them with our eyes. He floated away from the cruelty, the agony, and the burdens of existence.

A droplet smashed, sending eddies to radiate over the watery surface as it connected with the liquid and contaminated it with its red pigmentation, the crystalline sound echoed through the place.

"Sleeping soundly ... There are a hundred voices howling in my head. They scream for me to wake up. To come back. Who are they? What do they want from me?"

His eyes fluttered open, allowing for the light to infiltrate his smoky, pupil-less eyes. They were of a soft lazuli tint fading into ultramarine where floated shards of sparkles. If you looked at them close enough, inside them you could have seen an entire galaxy sprinkled with stars.

A breath. His once lifeless lungs filled with air, bringing up the fractured diaphragm.

What a pleasant feeling.

The boy blinked, flapping his lashes.

-"W-Where ... am I ?" His mouth opened itself to utter those three single words. They rang loudly, bouncing back and forth till their echo died in the distance. Another breath. Every inch of his body ached. He was draped in a gray long-sleeved shirt and a pair of shorts of a matching color.

-"Why am I here ..." His hands reached out to contact the freezing glassy texture of his comfy prison.

The soapy cage rumbled, although did not break. Outside the scenery was pretty bland and boring. What a strange place... yet so ..familiar.

Closing his eyes, the entity returned to its comatose-like state of slumber. Instead of sheep, he counted crows as they soared in circles in his mind.

A feather plopped down onto the transparent, crystalline pond's surface.

When we all fall asleep, where do we go?

Empyr rolled his eyes at the question, though he couldn't judge the miscommunication too much since she was right. "Dimension, though it also would be preferable if you stayed in this universe too so we can better monitor your actions and progress." He explained.

"On that note, we must be leaving soon, we have used far too much energy during these past several hours and need to return to the Great Beyond to restore it." Ora declared.

Mandoria nodded in agreement and turned to Mandara. The two stared at each other for a second until Mandara ran to his father and gave him the biggest hug he could.

"I'm so glad I got to see you again, Father," he said, trying to hold in his tears.

"As did I my son," Mandoria agreed, tears running down his own cheeks, "and as long as you and your brother have the amulet, you can summon me whenever you wish, but I will only be able to stay for three days, ok."

"Yes Father," Mandara said, the two let go of each other and Mandoria wiped a tear from his son's face, then smiled and commented, "your eyes look so much like your mother's now that they are silver and gold, and I think she would be very proud of what you have become."

Mandara smiled even wider and muttered a quiet thank you, then Mandoria, Ora, and Empyr bid everyone farewell, opened up their portals, and left, the rising sun marking the end of a dark chapter and the start of a fresh one.
