(I suggest rereading the last couple of paragraphs from the previous chapter if needed.)

That speech shook the audience, stunning everyone by the fierce outburst of emotions.
Many deities nodded in agreement after Mandoria's intervention. The quarreling between angels and demons stopped, as well as the squabbling of the doppelgängers and opposite-sided spirits. The few that had remained unmoved by the speech gave no sign of protest.
It was, perhaps, the first time in centuries that all deities set their differences aside and united together for one sole and distinct purpose.
The judge made a motion with their hands to bring everyone to settle down.
The doors on the jury's seating side flung open and a couple of identical-looking figures, dressed alike, entered the courtroom at last. After the jurors came the clerk, the court reporter, and a character dressed in a long black robe similar to the one the judge was wearing. They took their seat next to Ghidorah, a collected yet casual expression visible on their face.
-"Hm?" San raised an eyebrow as he peered down at the woman through his square-framed glasses.
-"I am the new deputy, the old one could not come, unfortunately." The lady acknowledged as she set her bag on the floor and scooted the wooden chair closer to her table.
King Ghidorah rolled their eyes with a deep sigh.
-"Now that you, ALL of you, have officially managed to break every single rule about how to behave in court, I believe it to be time to start," Ichi rubbed his temples.
-"From the bribes of conversation, it appears to us that you are all here presently to debate over the case of the Mad Hatter. To make it clear, this particular case has been disclosed and the adjudication has already been made." Ni stated and his eyes surveyed the courtroom's audience. "May I now inquire you, why would you defend a criminal whose cursed deeds spread over the multiverse?"

"Because he is a hero," Ora calmly said, she stood from her seat and walked to the middle of the room before explaining, "Your Honor, Elias Hatterbel came to the afterlife because he sacrificed his life to prevent the destruction of the Countryhuman Dimension. Several days ago a sorceress by the name of Umbra trespassed in our dimension and resurrected many deceased souls, creating a rift in the border wall of the planes of limbo. The Aberra, along with the defeated Umbra and Elias poured our very lives into repairing the rift, my fellow guardians and I were close to death because of it, but Elias gave his life to save ours and prevent the total eradication of a dimension."
She turned to the other deities in the room, "I know not what chaos Hatter may or may not have caused in your realms, but I, Ora, guardian spirit of the Afterlife, and my fellow guardians, have placed Hatterbel under our protection before his death, it may not apply outside of our world, but we will stand beside him as his defense, for his countless misdeeds are overshadowed by his selfless act in saving trillions of lives from total annihilation."

The jury was left unmoved by the witness—as jurors were not to be swayed by sympathy, but the audience was starting to murmur once more.
The judge took notice of what was said, humming. Ni and Ichi seemed not to deem this declaration enough to prove the point and they were on the verge of ordering the jury to disregard the statement, but then ...
-"This will certainly be taken into consideration." San announced, "May you all please remain at your seats throughout this session, if you wish to speak raise your hand."
