"Somewhere better," Empyr responded to her, he was still too exhausted to move much but he lifted his head a little and gently nudged her with his snout, "as a guardian of the afterlife, I can say that he more than deserves his place among us in the Kingdom of the Great Beyond. I promise little one, he is no longer suffering and because of his deeds he may even join us as a fellow guardian."

Poldara smiled at the two and left Cherry in Empyr's capable hands ... er ... paws. He went over to Ora next and healed her too, she didn't wake up but he was sure that she would be ok. Mandoria was the worst out of the three and it took Poldara quite a bit of energy to heal his grandfather, but he managed to do it, laying down next to the unconscious king to rest himself.

Poldara just stared at Mandoria, still trying to wrap his head around the fact that this was his grandfather, a man who was revered as a king and remembered as a hero, and all the special entity could think to do was hold his hand and just continue to admire his ancestor.

Cherry felt a little better after Empyr said those words. She sat down beside the dragon entity and soundlessly murmured prayers. Stars covered the sky, shimmering brightly.

Time meant nothing outside the realms of earth and similarly working dimensions.

Hatter was still sitting down next to Umbra. They both were exhausted and did not exchange a word for what seemed to be days. Time. It's easy to lose track of it, to make up scenarios in your head and to firmly believe that it flows at a certain pace that we could easily interpret. Time, is a concept invented by humans to not fall into the abyss of despair and lose control of their minds, becoming worse than animalistic.

Hatter sighed. The exact same thing he was doing since the very beginning and what he might be doing till the end of this cycling loop of infinite agony that was life.

-"Have you tried-"The man immediately got cut off without even being left the time to finish his question.

-"Doesn't work. Portals are blocked. All magic here is useless." Umbra grumbled and hurled a pebble into the water. She stopped brawling, now simply sniffed from time to time.

-"Okay." Hatter answered softly, bringing his knees to his chest. His mind wandered. How are Mandy and his folks doing? How was Aberra? And the kid, what will she say when she learns he was gone, perhaps forever?

He had noticed earlier that their hearts both emitted light and warmth, the only rays of light that could be found in the entire dimension. All around them was dark and freezing cold. He shuddered and sneezed.

-"Bless you ... not," Umbra said, cracking a small smile which quickly enough disappeared, she returned to her mopping and dwelling.

Hatter scooted closer to the feminine angelic entity, trying to huddle to keep warm. He was much smaller than her, but there wasn't a big height difference. Probably 20 centimeters or so. He carefully laid his head on the other's shoulder. Umbra flinched, however this time did not push him away. She was too tired to pick fights with the younger entity, and as they both idly sat there, the acrimony in her soul slowly, very slowly, dissipated. It was as if she was sobering from the wine of vengeance she was sipping on for so long. She cleared her throat and spoke, without making a single eye contact.

-"You know, the war between the Mages and Sorcerers...it was because you came into the world." Umbra started. "Mages, magicians, they used spells and charms, whilst sorcerers and sorceresses, witches in other words, used potions, herbal concoctions, and tricks ."
