**Trigger warning: violence and disturbing things ahead.**

C:

Cherry was lost in his thoughts once again as he took steps, not really looking where he was going and letting the tiny hat entity lead the way.

Since Hatter wasn't there, the chances that a giant pile of mail would greet them in the dorm would have been plausible.

A Sunday, for outer world folks, meant 'All Mail Sunday.' Lots of paper junk.

If a void justiciar takes a day off, it literally means twenty-four hours sharp. If the limit is exceeded, then they have to return to work. And if they don't show up, consequences follow. Mostly warnings and messages about punctuality, but what if the council found out that Hatter was gone? That would mean even more letters!

Other than that, in the dreadful paper pile will perhaps be found some enormously exaggerated bills, because leaving your house unsupervised when you live in the Void™️ costs you the eyes of your head if not your soul.

Cherry's head shot up and he halted in his tracks.

-"What might you be doing with those flowers?" The teen repeated like a parrot, looking down at the wonderfully smelling peonies that for some began to shrivel. "Oh! Well, it's for the memorial that Jay, Chandy, and I decided to make, the one we told you about earlier today Mr. MA." Cherry caught on to the conversation and answered with a forced smile. The teen was still sad and couldn't really help it.

Chandeler waddled to MA, still holding up the wreath.

-"Sir, you are very unlikely to die from flowers. Last time I checked you did not have any pollen or respiratory-related allergies. Also, presently your cardiovascular rate is higher than normal. Are you stressed, Sir?"

M:

"Of course, I'm stressed," Eclipse said bluntly, "I'm a militant entity, stress is just normal for us, for any countryhuman really."

He let out a small, rather ominous-sounding, chuckle and he leaned against the wall, still blocking their way, "so a memorial huh, I'm afraid I don't recall any conversation involving a memorial, but that could just be due to me being 'stressed' and simply forgetting about it."

He paused for a second to stare at Cherry, then put on a flirty expression, "Has anyone told you that you look stunning today? Perhaps it is just me but you have this rather enchanting glow, though there is something missing."

Eclipse put a finger to his chin as he seemingly was deep in thought, then with another chuckle, he plucked a white peony from Cherry's bouquet and tucked it into her hair behind her ear, "perfect, you could give someone a heart attack with how fabulous you look now."

Eclipse wasn't really trying to hide himself now, he was just trying to rile up the invisible Umbra so she would attack him, because right now all he craved was blood to be shed, whether it was her's or his own he didn't care, he just needed to see these walls turn red.

C:

Loud static filled the teen's ears and the sound pulsated without a break inside her mind. Cherry's eyes shifted to examine the floor when MA said he forgot about the memorial.

"If you were meant to be so easily forgotten about, do you think it was even worth dying after all, Hatter? Was it worth sacrificing all your blood to be now another fleeting memory in our heads? Tell me ... what will we do when I will be no longer able to remember, too?" Cherry's inner world was becoming distressed.

He blinked a few times, being brought back to reality. Through the pulsating noise, he heard that the militant was speaking to him, and the words took a couple of seconds before clarifying themselves. He stared at the hand that previously plucked the peony and placed it behind his ear.
