Making regular entity lines wasn't the same as making magical ones. The soul-linking concept was indeed similar, yet more complex for there are more variables in the system than just the two souls who wish to establish a bond with magic.

There are cases in which the two entities were independent of one another afterward and only shared their mana and energy partially, some other times there was a 'parent and child' type of link, and only one sends resources to the other one until they decide to sever the bond. Many different possibilities as you can see.

However, if they made an entity line without maintaining it and securing it, both people could instantly die. That's why for newbies it was advised to be under the guidance of an experienced person who could intervene if it turned out wrong.

Chandeler turned blemish by the seconds that passed. He closed his eyes and tried to focus his mind. Inside his throat itched and he continually coughed.

There was an unexpected burst of energy that spread through the tiny man's body. What exactly happened he did not know, yet it felt as if two invisible ropes materialized and attached themselves to him.

One radiated with green and the other with fuchsia as little lightning bolts boosted his vital reserves. His ailing system greedily absorbed the magic as if it was the Void itself.

Magic was considered as one whole thing that beings could take and give, personalizing it to suit their needs. Once gifted, it sticks to its new owner and when given away does the same. It rarely keeps the memory of its previous wielder for there are so many droplets of water in an ocean, one puny droplet is feeble and insignificant.

Luz accepted the eyepatch in her hands, glancing up and down from it to MA's face.

-"Aww thank you." The entity said to the militant with a smile. "We're still stuck here for at least a century if not more, I sure think it would come in handy. Having cotton balls in your eye socket isn't quite comfortable" A rueful chuckle escaped her lips.

Kiara leaned back on her forearms on the windowsill, trying to blow her long bangs of hair out of her vision.

Luz beckoned Kiara over, taking a hairpin she fixed the hair strands out of the way before she attached the patch to cover the empty socket. The angelic entity half's smile grew brighter.

-"All better, now what do we say Kiki?"

Kiara grumbled some gibberish under her breath as her face grew hot.

-"A bit louder maybe?"

-"Thanks." Kiara finally muttered. Basic politeness sounded like a foreign concept that wasn't part of her vocabulary, yet she normally was rather polite even with her foes. "Wow, it sure is hot in here."

There was a brief moment of silence before the two girls jolted.

-"Someone's decaying ... and fast." Both simultaneously spoke in one voice, then locked their gazes.

-"Who do you think it is? The energy is barely sensible. Hatter told he gave part of his mana to the blue jay kid. What else could it-" Kiara thought aloud.

-"No time for that!" Luz snapped as she mumbled an incantation, tracing runes with one hand as with the over one she placed her index and major on her own forehead. A sphere of light flickered before shrinking and zooming at the speed of light through the corridors.

After a minute a diagram popped into Kiara's sight.

-"A chandelier? What's that?! Luz, the hell did we just anchor?" The twin crinkled her nose in confusion.
