Kiara exhaled and looked down at her feet, dangling them.

-"I'll be fine I guess, when you mentioned wing poachers I happened to remember something really unpleasant and overreacted. It's been decades since it occurred and yet it managed to forge its path through my brain to haunt me."

The girl tugged at her sleeves, rolling them up and down.

-"It would be nice to lay it off my chest, however, I don't want to risk accidentally triggering this memory with Lu, because she seems clueless for now, and if she remembers, she would have a 'set herself on fire and burn the whole arcade center' kind of breakdown." The angelic entity mumbled, "Plus the story's bound to give you additional nightmares, and I don't want that."

Kiara lifted her head to once again see people crowded around the stage and the flashing lights. Without gazing at the countryhumans beside her she then spoke:

-"Listen, Lu and I cannot remain in this realm, we will have to leave in search of another place to stay—you both are well aware of this already I suppose. Although your world is soft—the bugs are small, there are no space worms or flesh-eating lizard people—you're not out of danger. It has only been a few days since we know each other and our intentions weren't the best at first, w-we've grown quite attached to y'all-"

Kiara's voice cracked, her hands trembled a little as she balled them into fists. She proceeded to clear her throat before continuing.

"I guess what I'm trying to say, it's that you've been so nice to the both of us a-and- and I don't have the vocabulary nor the capability to express how grateful I am for everything you've done for us. So if I leave and something terrible happens to any of you, I just wouldn't be able to live with myself. I'm scared for all of you, and especially for you MA, and now I'm just being delusional and paranoid." Kiara concluded, she turned her head away to wipe her eye.

Luz shrugged at MC's comment, she took back her vest and pulled a book out of the hidden pocket before plunging into reading, peeping from the corner of her eye at the playground. She was okay with babysitting, especially since she had the chance to experience it with two specific notorious individuals.

Timothy seemed to have become fresher, more lively; he smiled now and his bluish-gray eyes twinkled. He giggled and resumed petting Inferno, scooting a little to give her belly rubs.

Cherry was monkeying around, climbing through the jungle gym pretending to be a spy doing parkour.

Everyone was having fun.

Meanwhile, Hatter was struggling with his myopic eyesight, after a meter his vision was distorted and blurred like an impressionist painting. And if he squinted it turned out no better.

Mandara and MA looked at each other, then back to Kiara as the militant spoke, "wing poachers don't actually take your wings, they take the feathers to sell on the black market, it's not something that hurts us physically, aside from the crash after we're shot down, we just can't fly until our feathers grow back."

Mandara nodded, "yeah though we can understand the confusion, and if it makes you feel better, Poldara told us about that messaging spell so we can write to you no matter where you settle down."

Just then, two teenage girls walked up to them and held pictures of the brothers' robot counterparts, clearly confusing them for the animatronics and wanting their autographs. The brothers snorted with laughter at this and played along, signing their pictures, posing for a few more with them, and sent them on their way, quietly laughing as they were freaking out.
