M:

Mandoria could hardly hear the spell Umbra recited, he was using all of his power to repair the breach in the barrier. This wasn't the first time this had happened, Third Reich had dabbled in the dark arts and created a rift, but Umbra was far more powerful than the German, so the rift she made was bigger, stronger, and harder to control. Empyr and Ora were well beyond their limits, both were unable to stand and they had silver blood pouring out of their mouths and eyes, but they were still trying to fix the barrier even if it killed them.

"Umbra, Hatter, help the others," Mandoria ordered, his voice strained from effort, "they won't last much longer, I will hold the rift for as long as possible, you two just need to give them more energy."

Right as he said that, Ora let out a pained howl, and her head fell to the ground, her beam disappeared and her body started fading in and out of transparency, she was dying.

"HURRY, PLEASE HELP THEM," the eagle screeched, he then poured even more energy into his own beam and the rift stopped expanding altogether, but it didn't shrink.

C:

Umbra jolted as she heard the screech, she called out to Hatter by telepathy as she stopped her energy from flowing and made her way toward the fallen spirit. When she got no response she looked back to where the other angelic entity stood.

-"ELYSS! WE'RE HAVING A SITUATION HERE!"

Once again no answer came. Hatter was in his zone, concentrated as never. His hands continued to scribble down the seals. He had another set of arms that popped from each side and his aura radiated with determination.

No way she was going to pull him out of his moment of trance. Not that she could actually.

Umbra redirected her energy. From her eye sockets emanated purple smoke, a double halo appeared above her head, shining from a violet glow. She chanted incantations in her ancestral tongue. Healing hues appeared as a pure white glow slowly crept and enveloped Ora.

The angelic entity kept her open palms up, one pointed at the wolf and another at the dragon, activating the same spell on Empyr so both of the sacred magic beasts would get their wounds mended and strength recovered. She no longer cared that she had a fight with them before. The top priority now was to keep them alive and repair the rift.

As she continued her curing, the girl was surprised to see another glowing cloud form over the she-wolf and draconic entities. Red electric bolts of mana boosted Ora's and Empyr's vital essence.

-"HATTER!"Kiara was the one in control and she shrieked in panic as she realized what was happening. "I KNOW YOU ARE TRYING TO HELP THEM BUT STOP! YOU WON'T LAST LONG EITHER! PLEASE LEAVE THEM TO ME ... HATTER DO YOU HEAR ME?!"

Hatter wasn't even glancing in her direction at all. A pair of wings had sprouted out of his shoulder blades and there was also a tail, a thin one with a spade-shaped end. He heard the others, yet did not move or react anyhow to it. He wasn't truly himself anymore, and this time, no charm could possibly tame his unruly spirit.

Sheets of paper and blood flew everywhere. With the factor that Mandoria managed to stop the rift from expanding, it turned the winds in his favor. Seals became greater, as well as their efficiency. Hatter panted as plasma oozed out of him, it wasn't the proper use of his vital resources, yet he knew if he dared to take a single second of break, everything he worked so hard to fix could get destroyed. It was an enormous amount of magic essence that poured out of the man and it frightened Umbra, since she knew it could lead anyone to a certain death. Suddenly the red sparkly cloud dissolved just as fast as it materialized.

There was a low growl filled with static. Hatter breathed raggedly as he applied another sealing spell on the breech.

It was despair. It was all the emotions that everyone felt. He had it once again in his head and couldn't process them on his own, letting them sink in, absorbing them as a sponge. He couldn't do otherwise. Gladly it motivated him to give all he had to help repair the giant hole. It seemed to work.
