Whilst Cherry and Luz stayed with Poldara in the dorm and Akita with Eclipse had run off to catch the unruly magic creature, Kiara slowly strolled back to the room she was first assigned to. She calmly stepped through the hall, absorbed in her thoughts, leaving her body to pilot itself wherever she had to go.

That was only until a scream resonated, half muffled by the bad acoustic of the corridor walls.

It was filled with distress. Kiara's mindscape was soon filled with foreign negative emotions, which she recognized as Eclipse's. A dozen of thoughts crossed her mind simultaneously.

'what if he's in danger'

...

'No, that can't be ...'

...

'RUN ALREADY, RUN!'

...

Materializing daggers in her hands she sprinted rapidly into the direction from which the shout came from. She clearly remembered Luz saying no more magic, but she didn't care. Adrenaline rushed in her veins and her magic detector scanned for anomalies.

As she arrived though, she was both relieved and dumbfounded. Kiara panted as she searched with her only eye the countryhuman, finally her monocular gaze caught a glimpse of something trembling underneath a table. There wasn't anyone or anything else around. The hall was dark and the few light sources gave out only a dim, yellowish glow, casting more shadows than light all around.

Kiara exhaled deeply and the holographic weapons immediately disappeared. She walked over and crouched down, in a manner so she could discern more clearly Eclipse's traits.

-"Sheesh kid, you scared the living heck out of me, I thought there was a serial killer in the house or something." Kiara muttered, then carefully pulled the smaller entity out of the hiding spot.

"What's wrong?" She asked him, placing her palms on his shoulders.

Eclipse immediately hugged Kiara, thankful she was there.

"I don't want to be alone," he said through half sobs, "I was with Akita chasing the platypus when I stopped to catch my breath, then I was alone, I don't want to be alone again."

He was gripping very tightly to Kiara like if he didn't she would demilitarize and he'd be by himself, he even wrapped his wings around her like a bat and just kept crying into her shoulder.

The angelic entity was taken aback, but soon also wrapped her arms around the younger entity and returned the embrace, gently petting his back while rocking side to side.

-"You're not going to be alone anymore, don't worry. I'm here, I'm right here ..." She hushed Eclipse, who sobbed and gripped tightly to her.

The angelic entity could feel yet another point that connected them both, that awful fright of being left behind, on their own completely. After a while, she overcame that fear and got accustomed to having some time on her own, but she knew how traumatizing it could be especially after being roughly discarded and thrown away.

The darkness seems so hungry, it's as if it could swallow you and eat you alive.

Kiara continued to rock and hush Eclipse, then an idea came to her mind, she began to hum an old lullaby she heard her own mother sing, it was in Entean, and once translated its meaning went along these lines:

"Weave the strings
