C:

"-is the absolute lowest a villain could ever go"

Those last words rang as alarms followed by a carol of bells announcing a funeral.

Kiara stayed planted there looking unbothered, although her patience was running thinner as minutes ticked by. Her facial traits crisped, and she couldn't help herself but think about how to put an end to the other's very existence in the utmost painful and miserable way possible.

As it revealed itself, Kiara had made a severe miscalculation. Not only because of the magic blocker that Eclipse supposedly tossed up to her and Luz, but because of their damaged detector. She had let her guard down.

She tried her best to be a nice girl. She really tried ... Yet nobody can change their behavior completely in the short span of a day.

The mops continued to swish over the walls and the floor, buckets filled and emptied gradually as the corridor was being cleaned.

From the angelic entity, half's throat rose an annoyed grunt. Dark plum-colored mist emanated from her unoccupied ocular socket.

-"Right now? Just when I wanted to have some quiet time?! Seriously boy, that is plainly rude. I don't want to play with you, do you understand?" Kiara's fists ignited and burst into flames. She took a step further ahead, her mouth twisted with a sinister smile that would make your skin crawl. "Gee, are you that desperate to fight against me? We'll ain't that cute."

The ignited parts of the arms morphed into sharp blades. Kiara retracted them closer to her chest as a praying mantis would do.

-"I give you exactly five seconds to change your mind. Begging for mercy afterward would be pointless." The lady icily articulated before darting forward.

She and Eclipse crossed blades, sending sparks in different directions.

At that exact moment, as the half of the angelic entity was ready to fully pass into action, a voice from behind interrupted her.

-"Kiki ..?"

-"What!"

-"She's ... She's n-not breathing. Her pulse is very weak. I ... I tried to heal her injuries and it stopped working- like if my magic was absorbed but nothing more."

That made Kiara's blood freeze in her veins. She took a millisecond and concentrated for searching life essence. It was indeed drifting away.

-"... Fuck." Kiara whispered as she ruefully chuckled.

That human child ...

-"I really, really hate to admit it, but making the child fight was the second worst idea of the century. A horrible Idea." Kiara sideway glanced at her twin. "And guess whose fault it is that we both have controllers on our magic, huh?! "

Luz bit her lip and muttered an apology in Entean.

-"Ftah xo I xo nof?" She asked with worry.

-"Get the kid out of here. Don't let anyone else get in here."

-"B-but-"

-"Did I fucking stutter? Out, NOW!" The one in the darker outfit shouted, still maintaining Eclipse at a distance.

Without another command needed Luz picked up Cherry's nearly lifeless blood-stained body and rushed back towards the common room and the other dorms, half running half teleporting herself as she did so.

Kiara managed to push the other entity about three meters away.

Eclipse was right. Whatever she did, people would forever see her as what she primarily was: a villain. She couldn't entirely change and become good. A drastic, major disappointment, that's what she was. The blade-like hands returned to normal. Invisible shackles clicked before unlocking and falling on the floor.
