M:
"Nah, just a smack in the head," a certain split-personality said, appearing upside down in the air behind Kiara, now in his adult form. He then proceeded to slap the angelic entity with his wing before saying, "next time you do something like that, let me know about it, I would have loved to not miss the chaos you just induced."
Just as he said that, MA's voice was heard from inside the house, "Kiara, can you come in here and explain to Poland why you just made his husband faint, he's acting like he's about to have a heart attack himself!"
When he heard this, Poldara facepalmed himself, "Dad has too weak a heart for his own good, this is the second time in a week he has fainted, I think you set a new record, Kiki."
C:
-"The first time it was because of me." Cherry admitted in a small voice. "It occurred on the day we had arrived and learned about the oddities happening near Mount Triverboa. Kiara, I don't think either of us really meant to make Mandara have a heart attack." She tried to reassure the lady.
The entity in question was just sitting there on the steps, too overwhelmed to answer.
-"Nooo, what have I done ..." Kiara fretted, she quickly sprung up to her feet and darted inside the house.
In the common room, the atmosphere was tense. Luz was by Mandara's side, who was laying limply on the couch. She placed a wet towel over Mandara's forehead, since he was breathing they didn't need to perform CPR.
Hatter and MC were present and at the moment tried their best to calm Poland down in order to avert another swooning.
They all turned their heads—at the exception of Mandy—once they heard the rapid thumping of shoes, and Kiara soon was standing in the doorway.
The sisters stared at each other.
-"I ... I'm sorry, really sorry ..." Was all Kiara could find to say.
Luz sighed, her brows furrowed, and turned her head away. She stood up and dusted her skirt.
-"Mandara will be fine, as you can see his condition isn't lethal, he's still breathing; I can say he'll soon be back on his feet." Luz gave her verdict. "With 'someone' unleashing the dawning of Weirdmageddon, I'm not surprised his nerves couldn't take it."
Kiara looked down, guilt formed tight knots in her throat.
M:
"It's fine Kiara, Trigger fainting is not an unusual thing," MA reassured her, "I think we all were just taken by surprise is all, I had no idea that our pest problem was that bad."
"Taken by surprise is an understatement," Poland chuckled nervously, sitting down so he wouldn't pass out too, "I thought the ten plagues of Egypt were upon us, you really should give everyone more warning next time."
Mandara groaned a bit and opened his eyes, holding his head as he sat up. MA was by his side immediately to make sure he didn't crash again, and when the country met Kiara's gaze he smiled weakly, "I think it's safe to say that you scared me a few decades out of my life, well done."
C:
-"Let's not have a 'next time', one performance was quite enough." Luz insisted, looking shaken and weary.
Kiara let out a breath of relief when Mandara came back to consciousness.
-"Heh, sorry about that." She sheepishly smiled in return. "Needless to say this didn't go at all as I planned ... is there any way I can make it up to you for causing such a fright?"
