75: Hush until morning comes/Midnight Miracle

MC had calmed down by now and was just sitting quietly, though he looked slightly tired now.

"Thanks guys," he whispered, "being a militant is hard emotionally because you gotta act tough, I'm glad I have people I can be vulnerable with."

"I'm glad we have you too," Poldara agreed, gently kissing his cheek and entrapping him in a hug, "you can always talk to us, you remember that now."

MC nodded and hugged back, enjoying the embrace, Eclipse was happy that those two were so caring for one another, it truly warmed his heart.

"I know a game we can play, it's called 'getting ready for bed'," he joked, "another long day, another few bumps and bruises to add to the souvenirs, now I think it's time to take it easy."

"I think that is a good game," Poldara agreed, "I'll probably call Dad to see how everything is going with Uncle MA, which reminds me, Eclipse, can you do the fusing thing like with Umbra?"

"Yeah, sort of," he said, "we need a little bit of practice though, couldn't get my membranes to disappear, besides, I've been locked inside MA's head for centuries, I kind of want to stay out of it for a bit, you know."

The special entity nodded in understanding, then yawned before adding, "anyway, Eclipse is right, it's time for bed, hopefully, everyone else will be home soon."

C:

Cherry let out a quiet 'aww' at MC and Poldara's adorableness.

-"Yeah, it was about time for you mortals to fall into slumber." Umbra agreed, crossing her arms over her chest. She turned to Poldara and added: " Tell your parents and uncle I said hi and wish for MA to get well soon."

The angelic entity ushered Cherry to leave her friends to rest. Before going anywhere though, the girl ran and hugged each of them.

-"Good night Bucky, good night big bro," Cherry yawned as she bid them goodbye for the night. "... Good night Grunkle"

With that being done, the child strolled out and through the corridor, very happy with herself.

-"Grunkle? He isn't THAT old" Kiara disconnected from Luz for a split second to laugh.

-"Quiet, Kiara." Luz scolded, but her twin only stuck out her tongue and they fused back again with a small flash.

-"Let's race downstairs and who gets there first wins" The teen challenged her. Umbra opened her mouth yet the youngster cut her off by shouting "TAG, You're IT!", and zooming down on the staircase railing.

-"No, hold on- Cherry! —why is she so damn fast—Get your ass back here!" The older entity called after her, absolutely mortified.

-"Whoops." Kiara said as she unfused from Luz and watched as she chased after the human child. Loud squealing echoed from the lower floor.

At the exact moment, Chandeler emerged from the opposite end of the hallway, he was holding some badly shaped object of his own size above his head, and behind him tiptoed the clone.

-"It better not be what I think it is" Kiara muttered through her teeth as she bent down and took the black urn in her hands. She examined it from all angles and took a peak inside. The name engraved on the box had lost its golden shine.

-"Oh no, no no no no no! This is bad." The angelic entity exchanged a furtive glance with her clone before it poofed and was no more. "Nobody must know about this, you hear me? No one." She hissed to Chandeler who gave her an energetic nod.

M:

MC and Poldara said goodnight to Eclipse and made their way out, though not before seeing the militant transform into a black cat and curl up on the bed. The two were heading to Poldara's room when they turned the corner just in time to hear Kiara's last words.
