83: The way of the world

M:

"MC what the hell was that all about," Mandara shouted, smacking the militant upside the head, "that was completely uncalled for, what is your problem?"

"No one makes a fool out of me and gets away with it," MC growled, "I will not be made a laughing stock."

"You lost a goddamn bet, so what, why is this such a big deal," Poldara scolded too, "your acting like a child, man up you punk, you're being a bully."

While everyone argued, Eclipse was rolling his eyes, MC really was being a jerk and he didn't even know why he agreed to help him. When he finished cleaning up the mud, he transformed himself into a red and black eagle and flew away, he needed some peace and quiet.

He happened to fly near the ruins and spotted Kiara in the tree, confused and interested, he flew down and landed on the nearby castle wall.

"Well how about that," he said, still in his eagle form, "I go off for a flight and happen to find you, are you ok Kiara, did MC hurt you at all?"

C:

The girl had climbed up the tree after a while to stare into the distance, she made a small movement to glance over at the still-standing fragment of the castle wall.

-"Hey Sol." She muttered and proceeded to shift position on the branch she had perched herself to be face to face with the bicolored shapeshifted entity. "Overall I'm fine, if anything it's just a bunch of scratches. I guess I kind of deserved it ... reckon MC's still furious and ready to skin me alive once I return." Kiara sighed.

She couldn't bring herself to admit that for a moment she was genuinely afraid, not even in her own mind.

The angelic entity then abruptly stood up on the branch and let herself hang upside down by the feet.

-"With the amount of trouble I have caused since the beginning I wouldn't be surprised if I'd be considered a nuisance." She murmured quietly. "Wait, you aren't here to spray me with mud now, are you?" Kiara interiorly shuddered at the thought of it.

M:

"Nah, in all honesty, I don't know why I helped him out with that," Eclipse shrugged, "I was being a child even by my standards and I don't know why he was so pissed off. Rest assured he is getting the discipline of his life back home so you don't have to worry about that."

The eagle militant chuckled to himself, "nuisance, honey a nuisance is someone who infringes on your rights or creates general destruction for their own entertainment. Sure you were the latter several days ago, but you're far from being a nuisance, you're just a gal who makes mistakes, we all do, nothing wrong with that. Don't let what happened make you second guess yourself, it was simply a prank taken the wrong way, and if anything MC should be the one who's ashamed, not you."

C:

"I am, very probably, going to also have the discipline of my life ..." Kiara thought to herself, she didn't need visual support to imagine her sister forcing her to make an apology before lecturing her for the rest of eternity.

As Kiara hung there, listening and lightly rocking along with the cool breeze she began to relax.

-"It's crazy how things have changed over such a short time span ... You're right, we all make mistakes ... I'll keep trying my best though. I really don't want to go back to how I was before I met y'all."The angelic entity spoke, "You know, for centuries all I heard was mostly people talking trash about me and even if I ignored it, it ended up sticking around. It's easy to get brainwashed into thinking you're a nobody. BlueJay had that treatment, so he knows. And what's good is to have folks who care and support you."
