"Better," Mandara and Eclipse said in unison, to both of their surprises, then Poldara continued the conversation, "we all saw that movie and Sonic has the biggest ego I have ever seen, a mute sonic platypus is much more preferable."

Eclipse nodded then answered Luz's previous question, "as I said to Cherry, I like to throw knives when I'm stressed or nervous, though any blade will do. Normally I don't summon things because it is really hard to do it when connected to MA, he can't conduct energy into magic as I can so he acts as an involuntary dampener, that's why when Kiara tried to use the sleeping sell on us and I diverted it to MA I was able to use my full power, he was unconscious and couldn't affect my actions anymore."

"Wow, that's actually very cool" Poldara commented, "so how else does Uncle MA affect you, or you affect him?"

Eclipse hummed as he thought about that while eating at the same time, "well, it's easier for me to take control when he falls asleep or succumbs to Militant Madness, which being a militant split-personality demon, I am able to make him fall to it more often than the average militant."

Luz hummed with interest at the explanations as she absentmindedly moved her fork inside the box, mixing the food. She too used to play around with scissors, sharp utensils, and other blades when stressed, carving stuff was her specialty. Though she was more interested in the Militant Madness part.

-"It's true that usually, magic doesn't flow correctly throughout a body that never necessarily produced magic essence. It's like electricity. If you add resistance, the current flows with difficulty. That's mostly why those people and creatures who don't wield magic act like dampeners. That sucks to not be able to use your powers to their full capacity all the time, yet to be honest, it is better to be left that way." Luz concurred, eagerly taking part in the conversation. As she mentioned non-magical beings she gave a side glance at the teen who was silently sitting by her side.

-"Split personality demon you say, well that's interesting. Although I thought demons looked a tad bit different." the angelic entity added, peeping at Eclipse's wings and tail. "The more you get to know ..."

Cherry still hadn't touched his food. He simply kept hugging the platypus as if it was a plushie.

-"I'd say you look more like a baby dragon hybrid than a demon. "The teen exclaimed. "And you're cuter and less scary. "

After some reflection he said:

-"You know, I think should ask to take turns at things instead of going feral and bursting out, that way you don't need to be semi-dormant and also enjoy life ... without having to get MA into an enraged state all of the time."

M:

"Well, that's just not how it works," Eclipse said, "first, I don't go feral, if MA does and I'm quick enough I can take full control instead of the Militant Madness taking hold, most of the time I can't but I normally wouldn't mind watching the carnage that came afterward. Second, entities like me don't normally care for our other halves, our main goal was to take control and shed blood, that is our very reason for existing, nothing more."

"That's not true and you know it, Eclipse," Poldara told him, "there is more to your life than killing, you just have to be willing to explore other things and to get along with Uncle MA."

Eclipse just hummed to Poldara's words, not adding anything to it, and instead commented on Luz's previous statement, "I'm not actually a demon, or at least I don't think I am, those like me have been dubbed that by 'professionals, it's not like their wrong to some degree. I am a manifestation of MA's conscience so I can decide how I look like, or apparently, I change to match my inner energy."
