Those softly-spoken words made the boy even guiltier about how he had previously acted toward Eclipse. Too emotional to formulate any kind of response, he buried his face in the other entity's shoulder and quietly sobbed.

Cherry made a short stroll and sat down on the grass next to the two entities in powered-down forms. She reached out to caress Hatter's head, brushing his hair out of his face.

That made the boy open his eyes and his gaze met the teenager's.

-"You ... don't hate me?" he rasped and sniffled some more.

-"Of course not, you silly" Cherry spoke in a hushed voice. "From here to hating someone is a long, very long way. Plus I'm not giving up on you just now, you're my friend and I'll do my best to help you."

Hatter's eyes seemed to refill, just how many liters of water could his lacrimal glands hold?

-"h-htanr cou" The small angelic entity murmured through his tears.

He was so grateful he wasn't rejected, already that he felt unworthy of all the kindness he was given.

Subconsciously his membrane and feather-covered wings vibrated and he lifted them from the ground to wrap around Eclipse.

Luz cracked a smile at the familiar and heartwarming sight. Her hands then distorted in odd shapes and she let out a quiet gasp as she poofed in a beam of light to reconnect with her sister...only somewhere else.

The other Hatter groaned in frustration as he materialized at the other end of the estate. He pressed his back against the cool brick wall and let his head rest in his hands.

-"Congratulations, you officially fucked up, just what would your mother think of you presently." He spoke to himself. "Hah ... splendid, marvelous, what am I even supposed to do now."

Albeit the current situation was not a matter to laugh about, Hatter smiled, his pupils contracted as an overwhelming sense of hysteria took control over rational thinking. Thus he began to giggle out loud; if a passerby person could have seen him then, they would have probably thought he was insane.

Teardrops blurred his vision. He was losing himself again.

Eclipse pat the other's back and continued to calm him down, rocking back and forth with him and making soft hushing sounds, even Poldara came and sat down next to the group to help, which was why no one noticed Kiara and Luz vanish.

"Your safe now little one," Poldara murmured as the small Hatter was calming down, he then summoned a bottle of water and gave it to the boy, "when you feel like it, it would be best to explain what is going on, that way we can help you better."

MA was wandering around trying to look for everyone so they could get going, he heard the sound of laughter and followed it to find the second Hatter. Since he didn't know what happened, he thought this was the Hatter that came back from the dead, so he approached him without a second thought to see what was going on.

"Hatter, what is so funny, are you ok," he asked, when he was met with more laughter he frowned and slapped the entity across the cheek, "get a grip on yourself, soldier, you're going to die again from suffocating."

C:

Hatter let out a last cackle as he rubbed his cheek, his eyes returned to normal and yet ...

-"Haha ... Pardon me, I got completely carried away." Hatter's mouth corners curved to form a sheepish smile, although his voice sounded a pitch higher, like he was drunk on over-sweetened liquor.
