"Uncle MA most likely knows that you weren't in control, it will be like water under the bridge by tomorrow." Poldara reassured him, "while I was outside Dad told me that he had gotten pretty sick from how violently his line with Eclipse was severed, but I'm sure it's nothing too serious."
Poldara patted Cherry's hand a little bit, definitely feeling parental, "do you want me to stay here with you tonight, in case you have more bad dreams?"
————
Eclipse did as told and held on with all his might, though not before he scooped up Chandeler so the hat entity wouldn't get left behind.
By the time the trio made it to the outside of the estate, Eclipse was shivering from the wind and rain, though that wasn't the only reason he was shaking.
"I'm scared," he said, "MA didn't want me before, why would he want me now, so soon after what just happened?"
-------
MA felt absolutely miserable like he had Covid, the flu, and Ebola at the same time, or at least that's what he described it as.
"Don't you think you're being a little overdramatic, partner," MC responded to MA's description. MA didn't answer as he was busy throwing up into a bucket, though Poland and Mandara glared at MC for making a stupid comment.
"You know when Poldara told me that Mis. Cherry and General MA were affected by magic and that I wasn't going to understand what happened, I didn't believe him one bit," the doctor commented as she was looking over MA, "now all I have to say is that I better be getting paid extra for having to deal with you countryhumans."
That earned lighthearted laughter from everyone in the room, even MA chuckled a little.
"Do you think it will pass, Dr. Koffmen," Mandara asked, sitting with MA on his bed, letting his tired brother lean against him.
"I couldn't tell you, it's not every day you encounter magic-induced sickness," Koffmen said, checking MA's throat for irritations, "right now he's just got common flu symptoms so we'll just treat it as such, some antibiotics and TLC should clear it right up."

While the others were in a conversation with Dr. Hoffmen, Luz stood more in retreat. As everyone laughed she did too, yet the heart wasn't to it.
If her own entity line rupture hasn't shown anything significantly bad on her physical condition, it had taken a toll over her mind, affecting her psychologically.
That was the first time in forever that she was separated from her twin for good. However it didn't feel good, it was as if a hole was torn in her chest with nothing to fix or fill it. She was independent now, but such freedom frightened her. Especially now that she had to manage all the emotional responses, all the decisions on her own.
-"If my sister was here she would have known how to treat this ... if only she didn't have to go, none of this would have happened at all." She muttered to herself, unaware she actually voiced her thoughts.
———
Cherry gave a small nod.
-"Да, пожалуйста ... но толко если это не доставляет тебе неудобств." (Translation: Yes, please ... but only if it doesn't bring you any inconvenience.)
Outside the weather was raging. The wind howled and the thunder rumbled. Frankie cackled and squealed, then came to rub himself against Poldara, electrifying the clothes with static.
Cherry let out a strained giggle.
-"Rain, rain, go away, come again some other day." He mumbled through the mask.
