Jasleena
I drove into the driveway and before I could even park the car, Paola ran out. I laughed and made my way in. Once inside I saw everyone staring at me. I started laughing and everyone awkwardly joined. "We are good." Luka looks at me with a small smile. I walked towards him and grabbed his hand. "Paola, this is Lukas, Lukas this is Paola." She looked at him for a second, as if studying him. "You're that guy from the bar!" Luka and I started laughing. "Yes, yes I am. We can talk more about it later." He smiled and she nodded. "Ok, only because Leena says you're Mr. Perfect." She winked. I gasped. "PAOLA!" Everyone started laughing. It felt nice to all be in laughter and not awkwardness. I missed my best friend. And like I said before, everyone makes mistakes.
All of a sudden, I felt the room spin. I tried my best not to let it be noticed. But of course the one person I didn't want to notice did. Luka. He gripped me closer to him, lightly. Then whispered in my ear, "You okay there?" I only nodded. "Let's go start prepping for tonight's dinner. Girls come join me." Thank you mom for interrupting. "I'll be there in just a sec mom. I'm going to run to the bathroom first." She nodded and headed to the kitchen with Paola. I headed to the bathroom. I knew Luka was right behind me. Once I'm in before I could turn to close the door, there he was going in right behind me. He closed the door, then turned towards me. "Jasleena, what's going on? You've been like this for a while now... I think it's time we check that out." I looked up at him. "Ok, when we get back." He nodded and left the bathroom. I took a deep breath and tried calming down. I washed my face, dried it and went into the kitchen to go help mom and Paola.
"Leena, so tell me about Mr. Bar man." She laughed. "Bar man?" Said mom. I shook my head, because now Paola started something. "You go to the bar now, Leena?" I shook my head, "No ma. It was the night before everything happened. They wanted to go out and we did. Something happened that upset me and on my way out I bumped into Lukas. He caught me before I hit the ground. The following day when I left the hospital. I walked into a cafe and bumped into Lukas again. And ever since then, he became my friend. I wasn't the best friend then. With everything I was fighting. I ignored him and all. But somehow he made me smile all those times. He would send me cute quotes and everything. We hung out here and there. And eventually he became my boyfriend. They both said "Aww!" At the same time. I face-palmed.
