The minute I saw Lily freeze and just cry, I knew she wasn't ok. That's why I excused us and told everyone I was going to take her to the bedroom. But I did not expect her to start falling only a few seconds later. "Leena!" I heard everyone far away, but my focus was only Lily. I pulled her towards me so she didn't hit the ground. I lowered myself to the ground and held her in my arms. "Lily!" I was patting her face lightly trying to wake her but nothing. "Lily, wake up!" I started to get nervous. She started opening her eyes but it was as if she were confused.

"Leena!" Her mother kneeled next to me. "What's wrong with her?" She started crying. "Someone get my keys please! They're the ones with the coffee cup bottle opener." I needed to get her to the hospital. I knew something was up. I was telling her for over a week to get checked and she kept saying not yet. Paola's mom handed me the keys and I thanked her. Paola's dad and Lily's dad helped me up with her. I picked her up bridal style and headed out the door.

The entire drive to the hospital she was just sitting there. She didn't speak or anything. Just sat there. My nerves were off the roof. I needed her to be ok. I needed her to be herself. We arrived at the hospital. Her mom and Paola came with me. Paola's parents, Lily's dad and her sisters stood behind. I rushed to the passenger door and picked her up bridal style. "We're going to get you checked Lily." I ran in the ER and they quickly saw us. They questioned what happened and her mom explained. I didn't want to talk to anyone. I just wanted Lily to be ok.

Next thing I knew they brought a wheelchair so I could put her down. I held her a little tighter and kissed her head before sitting her down. They started wheeling her into the double doors and I went to follow. "Sir you have to give us a few before you can come with her." I was so angry but I knew they needed to do their job. I nodded and just stood there. Watching until the double doors closed.
