Jake walked in with Britteney, she was all smiles until she saw Lily. That gave me enough confirmation, I just needed her to confess it. Regardless, she was going to get fired. She went into my office with no permission and started an allegation in my personal life. That I will not tolerate. "Sit." She took a seat. "Why am I here?" She questioned. "You know why you are here, Miss Finn. So let's not act as if you aren't aware. My question to you is, Why? Why would you come into my office, grab my personal cell phone, call my girlfriend and lie to her?" I felt my anger bubbling up. I guess it was noticeable because Lily came close to me and grabbed my hand gently. It instantly cooled me off, I didn't want to scare her but when it came to her, it was a completely different kind of anger. Britteney was just staring at us.

"Speak Britteney." She looked away, "You would talk to me here and there. We would have random small conversations and I liked your attention. I started liking you but you weren't paying me any mind. But I didn't mind that because I thought one day I'll grasp your attention enough for you to like me back. But then a couple months ago that all stopped. You would only call me for work things. You wouldn't hold conversations with me or anything anymore. So I snuck into your office and went through your phone. Saw how you messaged her." She gave Lily the ugliest look, "Watch yourself Miss Finn." She looked away from Lily. "And I decided to try and eliminate my competition." I had laughed so hard, I looked like a mad man. "Miss Finn, you assumed wrong. I would never see you as anything other than my assistant. Which you no longer will be, from this day forward." She gasped, "But..." I lifted my hand in a gesture to stop talking. "And no one can match Lily. No one would ever come close to what Lily means to me. So watch what you say or do to her." She looked at me, "Is that a threat Luke?" I looked at her with so much anger. "When has it ever been ok to call me by my name? Leave Miss Finn." She looked at me in disbelief but didn't say another word. She got up and walked out of my office.

Jake nodded, "Nice to finally put the name to the face. Nice to meet you, I'm Jake." He smiled, nodded again and before Lily could speak he went behind Britteney, to make sure she left the building. Lily sighed and I hugged her. "I love you Lily." She held me tighter. "I love you too, Luka." Nothing could beat that moment. Blessed wasn't enough to express what I was feeling. Never have I ever defended someone the way I had defended her. I hope that showed her that I'd go on and beyond for her. That I did care about her and wouldn't lie to her. Hopefully this was what she needed to see and hear. My girl, I pulled her to me and kissed her.
