"It's me..." She stood frozen in her spot. I walked towards her. "I'm so sorry Paola..." I hugged her. She tensed at first and then began to cry. Then she began to shake and sob. I did not know what else to do so I just held her. Her body was leaning on mine as if she cried. I slowly brought us both towards her bed, her weight was beginning to take a toll on me. I'm not sure how long we were like that for. She ended up calming down and wiping her face.
"I'm sorry." I looked down. "I'm so sorry Leena, I did not think all of this through correctly. I fell in love with a joke of a guy. I'm so sorry he was your boyfriend. But I'm grateful you didn't have to bear this." The tears were just falling down her face. "I'm sorry Leena." I nodded. "It's ok Paola... I'm so sorry he did that to you. I-I'm sorry yo-you l-lost him..." My tears started rolling down my face. "Paola, I love you. I hope we just grow from everything." She nodded and hugged me again.
After some time we stopped crying. We both sat back down giving each other some space. "He still had feelings for you. Said he couldn't be with me because he enjoyed being with us both. Pretty much said it wasn't fair to be with me when he couldn't love me how he should." I shook my head. "How sick..." She nodded. "I know right... I'm sorry Leena.I truly am. I'm just grateful you are no longer with him. Neither am I." I nodded. "I would have never thought he'd end up like that. But Paola everything happens for a reason. We will grow from this." I smiled at her, "If you both didn't come things wouldn't be how they are now. I know they aren't at their best at all. And for you things won't ever be the same. But I'm here Paola. I wasn't when you needed me most but I am now. And don't beat yourself up boo. I think I've met my Mr. Perfect in the process." She wiped her lone tear and gave me a look.
"Mr. Perfect? Who is he? Is he here?" I laughed. "He's at my parents house right now." She jumped off the bed. "Well it's time to go to Tias house!" I laughed as I saw her rush to get herself ready. "I missed you Paola." She stopped and looked at me, "Me too Leena. I really did. I didn't think you would ever talk to me again." I nodded. "I know. Honestly, neither did I. But we all mess up sometimes." She nodded and continued. A good fifteen minutes later we were in the car heading to my parents house.
