That night we cuddled and watched some tv until we fell asleep. The following day went by in a flash. I was grateful that they all respected my wishes and went with a small baby shower. The decorations and all were beautiful. I revealed to Paola and Jenni my little project. I had gotten a box, one for each, and filled it up with baby items. At the very bottom there was a thinner box. In that thinner box was a onesie and a card. The card was on top of the onesie. Inside the card was a picture of Lila's ultrasound, next to her picture read "Will you be Godmother?" Then on the onesie it read "My Own Fairy Godmother" They both cried and so did I. It was beautiful. Luka had given Jake his box and he said yes and gave Luka a big hug. The day and night were perfect. Lila was blessed with many things. From clothing to diapers to wipes. A stroller, bouncer, high chair and crib. Crib sheets, a changing table and so much more. Such a blessed baby girl.

They also surprised me with a cake and sang me happy birthday. It was funny because who would have thought I would spend my twenty-first birthday pregnant and celebrating my baby girl.

A week had gone by since our baby shower. I was thirty seven weeks pregnant. I was tired. I was annoyed. I wanted nothing to do with anyone. Luka had handled everything so well. I truly wished I could've controlled my emotions but I was a complete mess. Everyday was something new. My appointments were weekly. It would be the same for each one. Weight, blood pressure, find Lila's heartbeat and done. At that very moment Luka was rubbing my back as I cried because I was in pain. I was getting what they called Braxton hicks. They were contractions but not consistent enough to start off labor. He whispered sweet things into my ear to try and help me not think about the pain. I leaned into him, "I love you Luka." He embraced me, "I love you too Lily."
