Chapter 109.

Luka

I got home and Lily was passed out on the couch. I walked to her and her face was completely red and puffy. She definitely had fallen asleep crying and my heart shattered knowing so. I heard Lila crying so I headed into her room. "Dada." I heard my lovely princess. She beamed a smile when I looked at her. "Princess." I picked her up and headed to the living room. Lila saw Lily, "Mama." She smiled. "Yes, let's go wake her." I headed to Lily, kneeled down on the ground with Lila on my leg, and called out to Lily multiple times. The last "Lily." was when I saw her eye twitch a bit. "Lily, love, wake up please." I wanted her to wake up. I wanted to talk to her. I knew she wasn't ok. I knew she needed me a million percent. "Lily, I know you're up." Lila whined and that's when she opened her eyes. I sighed again after saying her name. Then Lila said Mama. That's when I saw a beautiful smile come across Lily's face.

On my way home, rushing to get to Lily, I called my mom and asked her if she could please meet me at the house and take Lila for a while so I could speak to Lily alone. She agreed instantly, especially that she knew what was going on. So there it was a knock on the door. "I got it." I gave Lily Lila and headed to the door to let mother in. But to my surprise it wasn't my mother. Actually it wasn't anyone or anything at all. Or so I thought. I looked down and there was a box. I picked it up. "Luka, who is at the door?" I heard Lily from the living room. The box had a label on it that read... "To: Lukas. From: Your girl." I was so confused. I opened the box. There was nothing in it but a single envelope. I grabbed the envelope.

" Dear Luke,

You neglected my love for you. You used to flirt with me and compliment me every day. You know? You used to conversate with me about random things. We never got a chance to go on a date. We never got a chance to do so many things together. All because a stupid little girl came into your life. I tried getting her out the way and you chose her. I sent someone else to rip you both apart and again you chose her.You got her pregnant. A stupid little broke whore. Funny how all of a sudden you settle down. You never stood with a girl more than two or three times. I paid attention. I thought I would be the one to get you to settle and start a family. I thought that all that flirting and all those conversations were a sign that you liked my company. But it's funny how life works right. She took you from me and life took something from her. She can no longer give you children Luke. How does that feel? How can you love someone who can no longer give you children? Why stay with her when you can be with me? Think about it, handsome,

I didn't realize Lily had come behind me as I read the letter. I didn't know how much she read. Until I saw the tears running down her face. "Lily." She turned around and headed towards the living room.
