"When can I see her?" I was barely audible. "We will let you know when. But right now we are doing everything we can to keep her alive and safe." He nodded, we nodded and he walked out. No one spoke. Minutes went by and I still didn't speak. My parents left the room. Jake and Jenni entered. They tried speaking to me and I just couldn't.
An hour had gone by and I was still waiting. I pressed on the nurse button and waited for one to show up. "Mr. Anderson? Is there anything you need?" I looked at her, "My girlfriend. I need to know what is going on. It has been more than an hour and no one has told me a thing." She looked at me and gave a small smile. "We have not gotten any news yet. Maybe they are still working on her. I know this isn't what you want to hear but they need time to do their job." Again I said nothing.
Thirty minutes had gone by, and finally Lily's parents arrived. I only knew because once they arrived Jake had gone down to my room and had kept me company. Fifteen minutes later, Mama Maria walks into the room. She looked devastated. "Luka..." She was crying. "Mama Maria... How..." I was afraid to even ask. "...How is she?" She shook her head and started crying. Jake went to comfort her since I couldn't just get up. "Lukas... They had to perform an emergency hysterectomy. She was losing too much blood, it was becoming life threatening. Luke, I need you to bare with her. She is going to be devastated. She will need us more than anything. I'm so sorry Lukas." She left the room in a rush. I was completely broken for my Lily.
