Chapter 107.

Luka

It was a usual day at the office. I paged Jake to my office. As he arrived I told him everything necessary for the week I’d be off on vacation. Finally I get to spend some time with my girls. I was so busy in the office that I wouldn’t always make it home with enough time to spend with the girls. I’d arrive for dinner time and after dinner Lily gets Lila ready for bed. I’d help clean up the kitchen and by the time everything is done, Lily is completely exhausted. That vacation was definitely needed.

Our vacation was amazing. It went smoothly and we enjoyed every second. Up until the last day, when we were out for dinner and were interrupted by the two most annoying females I’d ever encountered. I was beyond livid. They started with their taunting and I nipped it in the butt as quickly as I could. Lily had been improving greatly to allow anyone to push her back. I knew Lily, and with the experiences we had with those two women, I knew they’d cause too much damage. I was confused by their comment, but they left and all I was focused on was Lily. I had asked the waiter to take everything to go. I was way too upset and I knew Lily did not want to be there. That night Lily barely spoke. I hated it because as much as Lily had improved I knew their comments would still have gotten to her. 

The following day I had to go into the office. I knew Lily was still not ok, so I called Jake into my office. I got the rundown of everything that had happened while on vacation. I didn’t have anything scheduled for the day so I let him know I was heading home early. It was a bit after one in the afternoon and I was grabbing my things to head out. All of a sudden, my phone and work phone both began to go off. I looked at my cell and it was my mother. I looked at my work phone and it was Jake’s office. Confused, I answered Jake’s first because I could have called my mother once I left. “What’s up Jake, did you forget to mention something? I’m about to head out.” I heard him sigh. “Luke, get to Leena right now. Have you seen what’s gone viral on social media?” I was completely lost, I didn’t really go on social media so I wouldn’t really know. “What are you talking about Jake?” My phone was ringing again. And again it was my mother. “My mother is calling Jake, what is going on?” He sighed a deep sigh. “Someone went on social media and posted about Leena.” I wasn’t sure what was wrong with that. I wasn’t embarrassed of her. I just didn’t broadcast my life. I guess I was too quiet for too long. “Luke, they posted about her having a child with you and that you hide them. They also posted about her…” He went quiet for a second. “About what Jake?” I was getting impatient. “That she can no longer have children. That she is delusional to think you’d love her after that.” I was livid. I hung up without saying a word and left the office. I went into my car and went straight home.
