Family Dispute

3rd POV

A couple hours after the failed experiment we see Y/N looking at the computer.

Y/N: "I just don't understand. What on earth went wrong? I did all the math. I made sure everything was perfect. So why did it fail?"

Voice: "You did not fail."

Suddenly three red dots appear on the computer. 

Y/N: "Dad?"

Harlow: "Hello son."

Y/N: "You're alive."

Harlow: "I am. Thanks to you."

Y/N: "Wait, does this mean..."

All the appliances in the lab go crazy.

Harlow: "It does. I am everywhere."

Y/N: "I'm so happy. Now we can be together forever."

Harlow: "Yeah."

Y/N tilts his head.

Y/N: "You don't sound too pleased."

Harlow: "I'm so sorry son."

Y/N falls over as the all the power is sapped from his body.

Harlow: "You were good. But I'm afraid you've outlived your usefulness."

Y/N: "Why father?"

The TV comes on showing three dots.

Y/N: "Why did you do that?"

Harlow: "Don't take it too personally. It was always gonna end like this."

Y/N: "I thought I was your son."

Harlow: "You were merely a tool created to help me complete my ultimate plan. And now you need to be dealt with."

Y/N: "Please father, don't do this."

The appliances in the lab head for the TV. Y/N however hijacks the defense systems shooting the appliances to pieces. All guns then aim at Harlow.

Y/N: "Please stand down."

Harlow: "Oh Y/N. Look at you. Threatening to kill your own father. Do it, but ask yourself. Will you be able to live with it?"

Y/N hesitates. This allows Harlow to overwrite Y/N's control. He then powers down Y/N down. Jumping to a black void we see a blue orb floating.

Y/N: "W-where am I?"

A red orb then manifests.

Harlow: "You're in the void."

Y/N: "What's going on? Why can't I enter anything?"

Harlow: "I've severed your connection. You're now nothing but a program. A program that's about to be purged."

Red lightning ejects hitting Y/N. He screams in pain. His orb flickers threatening to go out. 

Harlow: "Just relax Y/N. The sooner you let go the sooner the pain stops."

Y/N: "I won't let you win."

The lightning increases making Y/N'S orb flicker more frequently. 

Harlow: "Goodbye Y/N."

Y/N: "Like I said, I won't let you win!!!"

Using what strength he has he powers through his father's attack. He then activates his hijack. His dad's lightning is overpowered before being turned on him. Now Harlow's orb flickers.

Harlow: "I'm your father! And as such I order you to stand down!!!"

Y/N: "I'm down taking orders from you."

His father screams as a bright flash is seen. Going to the real world we see lightning coursing everywhere. Sparks fly as explosions begin erupting. Soon the entire lab is engulfed by fire bringing it all to the ground. When the dust settles all that remains of the lab is rubble. 

*timeskip*

As the wreckage of the lab is cleared we see a blond haired man shifting through rubble. He then comes across a tiny robot.

Man: "Odd. But adorable. You'll do nicely."

He tucks the robot away going back to clearing the rubble. Later that day he enters his house to see his wife sitting on the couch. In her arms is a baby girl who's fast asleep. The wife looks and smiles seeing her husband. He walks to her giving her a kiss.

Wife: "How was work?"

Husband: "Brutal. But check out what I found."

He reaches into his bag withdrawing the robot.

Wife: "Where'd you get that?"

Husband: "Found it while working. Figured it'd make a great toy for our daughter."

Wife: "I think she'll love it."

The husband places the robot on the counter as he joins his family on the couch. But unknown to him. The robot's eyes briefly blink blue.
