Y/N POV

I look at the next few sections of text translating them.

Y/N: "Life was struck down. Turns out their greatest creation was their biggest mistake. Humanity had turned against their creators. While they're children destroyed each other the parents had chosen to remain uninvolved in their disputes, fearing it'd tear their family apart. But this only fueled their growing hatred for their silent creators."

I look at the last few sets of texts.

Y/N: "When the great revolution ended, humanity had killed their mother. Seeing his beloved die the father lashed out wiping all life from existence, leaving him it's only survivor. It's said that to this very day he can still be heard crying over his fallen family. All the way from the edge of the universe."

Ruby: "That's so sad. Children killing their parents. And for what? Just because they chose to protect their family?"

She looks at the last image.

Ruby: "You see that?"

Y/N: "See what?"

Ruby: "The being of death, his head is upside down."

She twists the head right side up. This makes the head sink into the wall. Gears turning are then heard.

Y/N: "That's either gonna be something really good, or really bad."

A compartment opens on the wall next to the last image. It's then we're presented with a solid gold statue. It's an angel sitting on a rock with tiny people surrounding it.

Ruby: "You think that's the idol?"

Y/N: "I'd bet all my money on it."

She smiles snagging the relic. To my surprise nothing bad happens.

Y/N: "Is it bad that I kinda hoped a giant boulder would come crashing down on us?"

Ruby: "I think you've been watching too many movies."

She taps her earpiece.

Ruby: "This' your glorious leader here. Idol found and in safe hands. Let's meet up and return the idol."

WBY: "Copy."

We head topside where we rejoin the others. We then head north to a small monastery. When we arrive we're greeted by one of the monks.

Monk: "Greetings. You must be the Hunters we sent for."

Ruby: "Yes sir?"

Monk: "Were you successful in your mission?"

Ruby holds out the idol. The monk smiles taking the idol.

Monk: "By Oum. You actually found it. You have no idea how much you've helped us."

He gently hands the idol off to another monk.

Monk: "Put that where it belongs."

He nods walking away. Meanwhile the original monk looks back at us.

Monk: "Thank you. Thank you all. You've performed a truly remarkable service. You have our eternal gratitude."

Ruby: "Just doing what's right sir."

Monk: "For completing your job. Here is your reward."

He withdraws a sack overflowing with Lien. He tries to hand it to us.

Y/N: "That's very kind of you. But we cannot accept this."

They all look at me.

Monk: "It's your payment. It was promised."

Y/N: "Seeing your precious idol be returned is payment enough."

I bow.

Y/N: "Until we meet again."

He smiles bowing as well.

Monk: "Until then."

Standing back up we begin riding out on our bullhead.

Yang: "That was a lot of money you turned down."

Y/N: "I know. But it wouldn't have looked right if we took it."

Blake: "What do ya mean?"

Y/N: "Monks make all of their funds through donations. They've got no financial backing. It'd be like robbing a man of his livelihood. It's just not right."

Suddenly the bullhead rumbles.

Weiss: "What was that?"

Ruby: "Brace!!!!"
