New Friendship

Y/N POV

I groan awakening. Where am I? Who am I? I look over my black surroundings. Data then presents itself.

Y/N: "System failure? Is it referring to me?"

I look over the data.

Y/N: "System rebooting. Complete. System efficiency at sixty three percent."

I scan through the damage.

Y/N: "Memory banks, corrupted. Backup system engaged."

My head then severely hurts.

Y/N: "I'm... an AI. And I can integrate with all electronics. Good to know."

The black screen turns on revealing a house. Who's house is this? I go to move. When I do I notice my metal body.

Y/N: "What in the world?"

I look spotting a mirror. I hop down and wheel to it. It's then I notice I'm a robot.

Y/N: "Did I make this body?"

I look it over. I move with the robot body copying me.

Y/N: "I really am a robot. Wicked."

I wheel away to investigate the house. I enter a large room. My head tingles making me look around. It stops when I spot a black box. 

Y/N: "I wonder."

I focus on the box. My head is then filled with loads of information.

Y/N: "This feels amazing. This object. It's called, the internet."

I smile seeing all this information. Now armed I walk into what's called a living room. I admire its decorations when I hear a voice. 

Man: "What the fuck?"

I look seeing a man in a red cape. I freeze, crap. In a panic I wheel away.

Man: "No you don't!!!"

He quickly catches me shaking me.

Man: "I knew you were alive!!! I fucking knew it!!!"

I look around to find something to knock him out. But to my relief a man and woman appear. I watch as they tell him off. The woman then takes me into her arms carrying me away. I look at the man and power down for now.

*timeskip*

I power back up seeing a girl with black hair with red tips. She pours a glass raising it.

Girl: "To good health."

She drinks her glass. I look at my glass. I grab it raising it.

Y/N: "To good health."

She coughs out her drink looking at me. She blinks a couple times.

Girl: "Did you just speak?"

Y/N: "Yes."

She sets her glass down grabbing the sides of her head.

Ruby "Ok. Calm down Ruby. You're just imagining things. Robots can't talk. It's just a toy."

Y/N: "Are you having what is called a... mental breakdown?

She looks at me lowering her hands.

Ruby: "You really can talk, can't you?"

Y/N: "Like you're doing right now."

Ruby: "Wicked. So like, where'd you come from?"

Y/N: "I don't know. My primary memory bank is corrupted."

Ruby: "What's that mean?"

Y/N: "It means it's currently out of use."

Ruby: "So that means you're like me. Clueless to the world."

Y/N: "Correct. I have as the phrase goes, the mentality of a child."

Ruby: "Then whaddaya say we learn together? As partners?"

She holds out her hand. I grab it with my claw.

Y/N: "That sounds lovely."

Ruby: "Then it's settled. We're partners. To the bitter end."

Y/N: "To the bitter end."

The door bursts open revealing that red caped man holding a scroll.

Man: "I finally caught you!!! I finally have evidence!!!"

I focus hijacking his scroll. It beeps when I make it crash. The look on his face is priceless.

Man: "Noooooo!!!!!"

He tosses his scroll on the ground.

Man: "Freaking dangit!!!!"

He points at me.

Man: "Just you wait robot. One day I will prove you're alive."

Ruby: "Please be nice to Y/N uncle Qrow."

We both look at her.

Qrow: "You named him?"

Ruby: "Yes. He's my friend now. So he needed a name"

Qrow emits a long sigh.

Qrow: "Dangit."
